Chapter 94 - First

Saying that today is going to be an hectic day is an understatement!
Why?
Well today is the twins first birthday, yep a year has passed already and we all can't believe it went by so fast.
Anyway mum is coming, Sarah plus husband and baby are coming, Emma is coming, Benedict and Sophie are coming, Chase of course...and a few other people. Leah unfortunately can't come because she's stuck at work but we are going to face time with her later tonight.

I just returned home from picking the kids cakes and the last decorations to put up.
The twins are strangely still sleeping, Ellie and Alex got changed in the meantime and are setting the big table that we brought in from our backyard.

"You're back" Charlotte says coming down the stairs with a bag full of blue and pink balloons.
"Yes, and ready to decorate!"
"Good! Let's get to work"
As I hang the 'happy birthday' banners, she positions all the balloons with the kids help.

My mum arrives at 10 sharp, letting herself and Emma in, since they have a key, quickly saying hello to us and getting to work with the food.
Sarah, Yakov and little Julie come in next. I take my niece in my arms and cuddle with her for a bit before sitting her on the play mat where the twins are now.
"They look so cute together" Sarah says to me as we hug
"They do! And I love that they are so close in age, I mean two months is really nothing!"
"I love that too, I hope they are going to be best friends"
"I'm sure they will, even with their brothers and sisters"
"Hmh...wait why are you speaking in plural? Is Charlotte..." She says looking up at me
"No she's not...at least I don't think so, we are not trying for babies. I was talking about the future, you know the possibility of you and Yakov or Charlotte and I to have more kids"
"Ahh, ok!"
"Eheheh, we should get to work"
"See you later Tommy!"
"Uh uh" I say a bit annoyed to the nickname

After all the work we've done, with the help of family and friends, we all sit down at the table and start to eat.
The food mum and Emma cooked is delicious, as always.
Different conversations went around the table in the two ish hours we've been sitting and eating.
It's now time for the kids to go play and for us adults to clear out the table and the kitchen, reading it for the cakes.
As doing so Rdj, Evans, Hemsworth, Scarlett, Mark and Jeremy called us on face time to sing happy birthday to Lukas and Kate who were watching the screen intently.
"Ready?" Charlotte asks to everyone
"Yes, babies are sitting and ready to devour their cakes" Sophie says
"Definitely ready...Lukas is chewing on my finger" Ben says
"Yeah...he does that..." I tell him as I lit the candles.
Charlotte and I bring the cakes over and put them in front of Kate and Lukas, we sing happy birthday for them and then Ellie and Alex help them to blow their candles off.
Gifts are giving, the floor is full of colorful wrapping paper and the babies are giggling like crazy.

In the late afternoon all of the guests are back home, including my mum and sisters.
We take our time finishing to put everything back to normal and then sit on the sofa enjoying a family movie evening, eating popcorns.
Then we call Leah and stay on the phone with her for at least half an hour.

When the night comes, we put the twins in bed, not before reading them a story.
"Mommy and daddy love you so much" I softly say switching the little light of and closing the door, then wrapping my arm around my wife and walking together to our room.

"Can you believe it?" She asks as she sits on the bed
"That has been a whole year already? Honestly no..." I say sitting too and then laying down bringing her closer to me
"Me neither...time passes so fast...too fast sometimes"
"Definitely"
"I mean in a few months it's going to be two years of marriage and three of being together, Ellie just turned fifteen, Alex is going to turn 10!"
"I know...and it's sad but exciting at the same time, seeing them grow up, stand up for themselves, learning and all the things they do every day. I'm not going to lie, sometimes I just stop and think about all of this about how lucky I am to be the man that has and can witness all of this every single day of my life. It's truly enchanting"
"I love you so so much Thomas William Hiddleston!" She says kissing me
"And so do I, my love!"
