This time Charlotte and I are alone at the doctor, the kids are staying over at friends house. "You excited?" I ask Charlotte "Yep, you?" "Very!" I say and then I kiss her as the nurse comes near us "Doctor Shay is ready for you Mrs Hiddleston" "Thanks" We walk in the same room as last time and we are greeted by my doctor. "Good morning, how are you?" "Good...all things considered" "Ok, lay on the bed and we take a look at your baby, you are now 12 weeks right?" "I am" "Ok...this might be a bit cold Charlotte. How does dad feel?" "Overly excited! Eheheheh!" "You know...every time I see a dad act like this my heart melts!" Doctor Shay says We stay quiet for a bit, until the doctor moves the screen so we can see too. She then narrows her eyes. "Something wrong?" I ask as I feel Charlotte increasing the grasp on my hand "I've got some news" she says "Good or bad?" Charlotte asks looking at her, at this point we are concerned something is wrong with the baby. "Good...your baby is healthy, but it looks like you are carrying twins!" "What?" Charlotte says looking first at the doctor, then at the monitor and then at me I look at my wife, not knowing what to say. "We are having twins?" Charlotte says Doctor Shay nods her head and Charlotte hand finds my cheek "We are having twins babe!" "We are...twins!" That's all I can make out "Baby A was covering baby B last time...it happens! Don't worry they are both healthy. Charlotte this is why you were experiencing all that sickness. I'm going to print these out for you and see you outside" We nod at the doctor and as Charlotte cleans herself I sit in silence "Are you okay Tom?" She say grabbing my face with her hands I look up at her "mhm...just crying again because I'm too happy" I say She kisses my hair line and then grabs my hand, I stand up and we make our way out. "These are yours, I'll see you in three weeks...pretty sure we'll be able to find out the genders!" We thank the doctor and head to the cafe where we decided to meet Ben for a quick breakfast.
As we walk on the pavement she says that we can tell Ben about the twins. We get in and see that he is already waiting for us at a table. "Hi guys!" He says "Ben!" Charlotte hugs him and then I hug him We ordered tea and biscuits...typical! After going over some conversation about future projects it was finally the time to tell him. "So we've got some news from the doctor earlier" she says "Oh yeah? Everything good?" "Yes...you remember how excited you and Sophie were and said that you guys couldn't wait to babysit the three kids if the two of us needed to go somewhere?" "I do! Offer still stands" "Yeah well...you are going to babysit four kids!" I say "What? You are having twins?" "We are!" Charlotte says "Shut up!" "It's real...you can't back out now Ben!" "Oh I won't...we won't! Im so happy congratulations!" He says standing up and hugging the both of us. Before parting ways we told him that he could tell Sophie too and that we would organize dinner soon.
Once home, we sit on the sofa and as she is falling asleep I write my mum and sisters.

After that I also text my favorite cast mates, of course Charlotte and I agreed to that before she fell asleep.

At six the kids got back home, one of the other mum brought them back. "Hi" "Hi dad!" Alex says "Sshh! Mum is sleeping" "Oh ok...we are going to change" Ellie says "Ok, then come down we've got to tell you something" They go upstairs and I slowly sit on the sofa to wake Charlotte up. "Love" I say gently rubbing her arm and kissing her temple "the kids just got back" "Mhm...you want to tell them?" She says, eyes still closed "If you want to" I say as she sit "What do you have to tell us?" Ellie says "Sneaky girl!" We make them sit in front of us. "Today I went to the doctor to check on the baby" "Yeah you told us, you've got pictures?" Alex says "We do" I say "But there's one thing you have to know" she says "Is the baby ok?" Ellie asks "Both babies are fine!" Charlotte says "Both...no! We are getting twins?" Ellie says excited "We are!" I say She hugs us immediately and so does Alex "A baby each!" Alex says "Ehehehe...yes!" Our night end up on the sofa cuddling all four together...nothing new! Right before bed we decided not to wait and announce it to the public too.
