Chapter 45 - Little lady

*Charlotte pov*

This week has been very calm and relaxed, thankfully!
But ahead of us there is a week full of excitement, next Friday our closest friends are going to fly over to London and family will be here too because we have the gender reveal party.
Ben and Leah are in charge of the surprise and they keep telling us that they are doing such a good job.
On Saturday and Sunday we are going over in the the country in a big mansion where we can all fit...and by all I mean Chris Hemsworth plus wife and kid, Robert plus wife and newborn son, Chris Evans, Scarlett, Mark, Jeremy and Leah of course.
But as for the rest of this week we can relax!
Tom is bringing Alex to tennis lesson...Yep he got him into tennis, like father like son I guess.
Ellie and I are home and after finishing her homework she grabbed Tom's guitar and started to play.
To be honest she plays good, Tom taught her a few things and we are thinking that if she wants she can take guitar lessons.
I reach her in the livings room, she is sitting on the coffee table
"You are so good Ellie!"
"Thanks mom" she says smiling
She practices some more and then I ask her to play me a song she likes, but before she has to go to the bathroom.
In the meantime I busy myself folding some clothes and bring them upstairs.
"Mom!" She shouts from the bathroom
"What?" I say from outside the door
"Come in"
I open the door and look at her...

*Tom pov*

As soon as Alex finishes his lesson we go home and the first thing he does is getting a shower. He's getting pretty good at tennis and his instructor is happy about his performances.
"Hi beautiful" I say to Charlotte kissing her cheek as she is sitting on the sofa
"Hi"
"How was your afternoon?"
"Good, we did a couple of things and then I went to the grocery store"
"Why? Didn't we got the groceries two days ago?"
"Yes but I forgot the grab a couple of things and I had the time so...oh I forgot to unpack the shopping bag though" she says as she starts to get up
"I'll do it, don't worry" I say kissing her again and walking in the kitchen
As I reach the end of the shopping bag I'm surprised
"Why did you bought pads? You are pregnant, you don't need them" I say
I feel her rest her hand on one of my shoulders
"But someone else does baby"
"Oh" I say turning to look at her
"Yep, she's growing..."
"Oh wow...uh, is it okay for me to know this?"
"She didn't ask me not to tell you so... I guess"
"Ok. Do you think it's too much if I bring her some chocolate?"
"No, that would be cute of you...she's in her bedroom reading"
"Great!" I say grabbing some chocolate from the pantry
"You are the best dad, you know that?" Charlotte says as I start to walk upstairs
"I try to be"
"You are Tom, you are!" She shouts as I am at the top of the stairs.

I knock on Ellie's bedroom door and when she tells me to get in I open it and go sit near her on the bed
"Hi dad!"
"Hi darling" I greet as we hug "what are you reading?"
"The Hunger Games"
"Oh thats a good one!"
"Yep"
"I'm sorry for interrupting your reading...I uh...I just wanted to give you these" I say opening mi hand, letting her see the chocolates
"Thanks" she says
"Mum told me that you became a little woman today and I just wanted to treat my sweet girl"
"You are the best!" She says hugging me tight
"Just know you can talk to me about this too ok?"
"Ok! Love you!"
"Love you too princess! Now I'll leave you to your reading"

I go back downstairs where Alex and Charlotte started making dinner
"Mmm...I smell something nice!"
"We are making crispy baked salmon and potatoes!" Alex says
"Oh! Can't wait to eat! Is there something you want me to do?"
"Do you think you can set the table?"
"Absolutely!"
I lay down the tablecloth, plates, forks and knives, glasses, napkins and water.
Once everything is done I call Ellie and we eat talking about our day.
Charlotte and I also finally ask Ellie if she wants to take guitar lessons and she accepted excitedly.
We end our evening watching a show and then go to bed.
