Anna's POV: i slowly opened my eyes and woke up. it felt like everything was spinning from how wasted we all were last night. i sat up to look around and saw eva, dev, and emma still sleeping. i was confused bc i didn't see sab anywhere but thought she just went with coop. my head started to ache so i went to get a water but then dev woke up.
dev: (groans) what time is it
me: 1:15pm
after i said that she quickly got up and rushed to the bathroom and puked. i grabbed another water and took it to her while holding her hair back.
dev: is there any advil? my head is pounding
me: no but i'm about to go to the store to get some
dev: you shouldn't be driving rn
me: i'll be fine
dev: just be careful
me: yeah i will
i went up to my room to put some fresh clothes on and went out to my car. as i was driving my head pounded harder and harder. my eyes kept closing from how tired i am. i heard a loud horn then everything was pitch black...
Eva's POV: i woke up to the sound of puking. so i went to go check what it was.
me: dev you good?
dev: bitch does it sound like i'm okay?
me: (flips her off) anyways have u seen anna?
dev: yeah she went to go get some advil
eva: what?! she can't drive rn, you know how bad we all got
dev: i told her that but we're gonna need it
me: yeah i guess but it still isn't safe
dev: anna's mature. she'll be fine
me: i hope
we both walk out and sit down on the couch she was sleeping on. then emma woke up.
emma: (groans) why are y'all spinning
dev: because we can
me and dev laugh
me: wake up you alcoholic
emma: fuck you (flips me off)
devs phone then started to go off. i looked over and saw sab was calling
dev: well at least we know this bitch is alive
she answered the phone and her mood changed real quick. she started to freak out. me and emma looked at each other confused then looked back at dev
me: dev what's wrong?
dev: nothing. emma we gotta go now!
she says while tearing up
emma: where?
dev: just come with me now
me: dev what's going on?!
dev: nothing
me: it doesn't seem like nothing
dev: i can't tell u
me: why?
dev: i just can't
me: dev just tell me what the hell is going on
everything went silent for a few secs
dev: ann- anna got into an accident.
once she said that i felt my heart shatter. she teared up more and looked back at emma.
dev: emma let's go now!
me: i'm coming
dev: no eva you can't-
me: i don't fucking care! i'm not just gonna wait here so let's go
we got out to the car. dev was driving, i was in the passenger, and emma was in the back. we drove in silence. my heart was pounding as i was tearing up by what dev had said. this is unbelievable. i really hope anna's okay. she has to be.
we got to the accident and saw anna's car flipped over on the side of the road. there was ambulance and cops all around. i rushed out and the ambulance were taking her.
me: ANNA!
i tried to run towards her to see her but a cop had stopped me
me: wait no!
cop: ma'am
me: let go of me
cop: ma'am! you can't go with her. you can see her at the hospital but not right now
me: please i need to see her
cop: i'm sorry but i can't let you do that right now
i pushed away the cop and ran back to the car
me: dev drive to the hospital now!
we got to the hospital and ran in. we asked around to ask where anna was but no one could tell us anything. after a few mins a doctor comes up to us to talk.
dr: are y'all here for anna shumate?
emma: yes sir we're her friends
dr: are her parents here?
dev: her parents live in michigan. we all live together
me: how is she? is she going to be okay?
dr: right now she's going into surgery, so far we just know she has a broken arm and hip. she does have a few fractures in her head which could lead to a concussion. thankfully nothing too bad had happened so she will be okay but we won't know for sure until she's awake.
emma: oh thank god
me: thank you
as he left, emma and dev hugged me
emma: everything will be okay eva
dev: yeah we all know how strong that little whore is
we all let out little laughs but i was just relieved the doctor said she would be okay. i love her. so i need her to be okay.
