He asks the little kid as they and the Reds/Blues/Freelancer sit around.

Tucker: Well that's obvious.

Ozpin: Ever the optimist.
He says taking another sip of coffee.

Ozpin: While I wouldn't say our current predicament is ideal, it could be much worse. Humanity is a resilient force.

Wash: Yeah, I've seen that before... so has Carolina, she has more... first hand experience though.

Qrow: *sigh* Oz, pro huntsmen don't just disappear like that. Salem's powerful and it feels like her reach is growing by the day. What does that say about humanity.

Wash: Humanity is never good nor bad. It is what each individual chooses, you can never say anything about humanity as a whole and be right.

Tucker: That's not true, humanity is made up of humans! That's true.

Wash: That's not a adjective, that's just saying the definition of humanity.

Ozpin: Agent Washington is right, There are those few who have filled their hearts with malice. It doesn't take a great number of people to cause harm. But I do believe there are far more people in this world willing to prevent it; like us.

Simmons: Does that cup ever run out?

Ozpin: Well yes, but actually no.

Donut: Wow! That must be a really deep hole!
He says as everyone sighs and then Ruby walks into the room.

Ozpin: Ah, Miss Rose, join us. We were just about to gather everyone to discuss our next steps.

Caboose: Well it depends on our last step, if it was a left foot, then we do the right foot next, and vice versa.

Wash: I don't know wether to be disappointed in your stupidity, or proud that your vocabulary is expanding.

Tucker: Hey Yangs here! That means Caboose's vocabulary isn't the only thing expanding, Bow chicka bow wow!
He says as Yang punches him in the face.

Wash: You never learn.
He says as Ruby starts to fidget.

Qrow: Something on your mind kiddo?

Ruby: If it's okay to ask... *Qrow nods* We've been thinking about the relic and Haven and the Spring Maiden, but what about the Fall Maiden.

Caboose: Oh that's Cinder!

Ruby: Well yeah but... does that mean Salem has the Beacon Relic?

Ozpin: Very astute Miss Rose. I was wondering who would be the first to ask. No, thankfully she does not. It's very true that the relic at Haven is at risk, and for now that should remain our primary focus. Let's just say I made finding the relic at Beacon a bit more challenging than at the other schools.

Wash: Why not just make them all extremely difficult to find?

Ozpin: Oh they are! But it was specifically each of the headmasters that were tasked to hide their own Relic, and I chose to make mine much more difficult. But let's still not forget the challenges we have that lie before us. Now, is there anything else I can help you with?
