A wolf and Blue moon

I woke later in the night, unable to right back to sleep, i get up and open my window and look up to the moon. I remember a song I heard a long time ago. I start to sing.

Ashley - ' Blue moon, you saw me standing alone.

And then suddenly you appeared before me.

I heard somebody whisper 'please adore me'.

Well singing when your not used to singing really tires you out. I go and lay back into my bed. I fall alseep.

I wake up the sun beam gently beams into my room, I get up and get dressed. Hopefully I will make breakfast.

Walking down the halls to the dinning room, I hear voices on the other side. I take a deep breath in, then breath out. I open the door and everyone but two are there sitting down. I look to the table and look the open seats. There is one beside Minna, I quickly scurry over to it and sit down. My actions draw some muffled laughs from the other witches.

Flying Officer Yeager - ' Look at that, our elusive member. Hahaha! '

Pilot Officer Lucchini - ' Are you going to make some of the yummy sweet stuff again? '

Flying Officer Hartmann - ' Yeah, the yummy sweet stuff! '

I look towards the kitchen to see the two people I haven't seen at the table. As for Eila, she looks really conflicted. But sanya is beside her rubbing her back. Looks like she took my advice. Without looking longer then needed, I look at the others at the table. The Major is patiently waiting,  Flying Officer Closterman, is taking glances at the Major. Nothing new there.  Captain Barkhorn is reprimanding Flying Officer Hartmann as she plays around with her plate. Flying Officer Yeager is talking with Pilot Officer Lucchini. Minna is watching over everyone.

Minna gets up and hands everyone their paychecks for this half of the month. She hands me mine with a smile on her face.

Yoshika and Bishop bring out the food for everyone. I receive one serving, a Fuso style breakfast. Its looks delicious,  I slowly start nibbling away at it. We all eat are food with some idle chatter here and there. Half way through Captain Barkhorn gets up and leaves. I look towards Minna to see what whats going on be she gives a strained smile.

After a good hour we all finish up. I bring my dishes to the sink to be cleaned.

I leave to go take a bath. The water envelops my body. I can feel everything just wash away.

After sitting in there for an hour or so I get out. Dry myself off and get dressed. As I finish getting dressed the alarm goes off. I move to a near by window and see six witches take off. They they go. I think I'll clean my weapon and make sure its all good. Ahh, I already finished the adjustments to the warlock and made a copy of the blueprints. I added a few failsafes that can be triggered by putting a large amount of mana into it. It also uses a neuroi beam, but what if I develop a smoke that can scatter the miasma and dissipate heat really well. That should boost the survival rate of non-witches by alot. Ill also have to look at the heavy miasma zones to see if a normal gas mask fillter can stop it. If not ill have to make a fillter for that.

I make my way into the hanger I look for that one mechanic that works for Maloney. After some time of searching I find him slacking off In a corner with some other mechanics gambling. 

Ashley - ' Hey, mister. I finished looking at the blueprints uncle needed can you give it back to him? '

Mechanic #2 - ' Oh, yeah ill give it to him. '

He gives me a smile, it feels so disgusting. I keep the smile on my face. Then I leave to clean my gun and look over my unit again. As I was doing that the others return. Captain Barkhorn's shirt is damaged and shes missing one of her guns. Looks like everything went as cannon so far.

I look towards Minna, she looks relieved like a larger weight left her shoulders. I put my tools down and make my way to her.

Ashley - ' Did everything go okay? '

Minna - ' Trude, got hit, but it worked out in the end. Thanks to Miyafuji. '

Ashley - ' Yoshika looks exhausted. '

Minna - ' She still lacks magic control.'

Ashley - ' Is there not a witch in the 502nd that specializes in magoc control? '

Minna - ' Yes, but its a large distance between us . '

Ashley - ' I also have a felking they would try to keep Yoshika if they knew how strong her healing was. '

Minna - ' That is indeed what she would do. What were you working on before we got back? '

Ashley - ' I was double checking the modifications I did on my unit and running the calculations again to make sure they were right, And that there was no problem for a mode shift in the middle of combat. As for my gun, its a still a prototype model for the striker, so I have to keep it in peak condition so it doesn't break. We would have to order parts to be made to specification. And there is no workline for it so, its a custom made part. '

Minna - ' so its really expensive? Also what do you mean modes for your unit?

Minna looks at me like she was lost for half of what I said. Well like make it simple.

Ashley - ' Yes it would be expensive.  As for the modes the enhance diffrent aspects of the unit without lose the base value of other aspects.  So If I use the defensive mode, my shield is stronger and quicker to deploy. But the speed and maneuverability dont change from the the non modified unit would do. As for the other modes they enhance the other two aspects.  '

Minna - ' can you turn them all on at once? Whats the cost? '

Ashley - ' Yes, as for the cost it a variable amount of wear to parts in the unit. For all modes to be engaged at the same time would over clock tje unit. If your magoc doesn't go first then the unit would likely fall apart mid flight. '

Minna looks at me worried. She looks better me and my unit.

Minna - ' Promise me, you wont recklessly use the modes on your unit.'

Ashley - ' I promise. '

I give her a smile. She returns the smile before walking off to catch up to the others. I put away my tools and continue my day by being lazy.
