Navel Officer - ' Hey! get back to work! '

This is not the first time the officer had to tell us all to get back to work. This is the first time I've been on a ship. The crew say we are close to Britannia now. I haven't talked to the Major or Yoshika to much, and this ship is only so big I'm actually surprised I managed to avoid them. I spot Yoshika cleaning the deck again. The hanger dock elevator rises and the Major is going to show Yoshika first hand the flight of a unit. It also looks like she still hasn't convinced her to join yet. I remember that we are about to be attacked soon better get geared up. I got to show her that enlisted witches can be heroes too. 

It's a decent length trip to the hangers. well looks like my unit is ready to go, lets check the ammo and mags. they should all be ready, I'm supposed to be the escort for the ship.

Technician - ' Hey, why are you gearing up? there to sortie orders. '

Ashley - ' Just call it intuition, but I need my unit moved to the pad and ready to go for a quick launch. I'm pulling rank by the way. '

The Technician thought I was joking, unit he seen me seriously looking over all my equipment.

Technician - ' Ah, oh you're serious, alright ill get it ready, if nothing happens it on you. '

The crew work hard and get the unit to the elevator pad, doing a stretch before going into a jog and hopping into my striker. Feels good to be in the saddle, The alarms start blaring marking an attack. The elevator slowly starts going up.

Ashley - ' Raise me quicker, we don't have time to waste.'

The elevator moves me to the deck, I rev my engines and to get them warmed up and ready to go, the shake of the the elevator reaching the deck. I call out before releasing my clamps.

Ashley - ' Sergent O'Neil taking off! '

I blast my way of the deck and into the sky, the hunt begins. Lets get this big boys attention so the major can take off as well. Wow lasers a quick, that one almost got me. this is kind of fun it like dodge ball but laser that can kill you. A laser barely misses me and gets a glancing blow on a near by ship. Woah, okay no time to let my mind wonder luck me my shield is pretty strong. I Readjust my position and more lasers shot out to me. Damn it it has more places it can shoot lasers from! I'm supposed to be looking cool. well then I guess I can let my self go a bit. There's that pain on my face again. I feel like I'm losing my self. Yes screech for me more, let me hear your screams, Hahahaha. Did you need your wing? Oh you can heal, that even better for me! Did I make you mad? come on tell me! I'm pulled from my daze by shouting.

Major Sakamoto - ' Sergent, the core is the its mid tail section! '

Ashley - ' *sigh* I guess it has to die now, thank you for playing with me! '

I rise my gun up and light up the entire spine of the neuroi, I found my new favourite hobby watching neuroi explode, it reminds me of home. Calming down I look around, well the Akagi got hit, only one escort ship is damaged nothing else seems wrong, but the glare I'm getting from the Major. I don't think she likes the fact that I was the one to show off or that I toyed with the neuroi instead of just killing it. On the plus side Yoshika is flying with us right now. lets see how she's holding up. I fly over to her.

Ashley - ' Hey, kid how the unit treating you? '

Yoshika - ' Huh? Oh, yeah it's a little weird but it feels fine. '

Major Sakamoto - ' Sergeant, why didn't you kill the neuroi right away? you could have lessened the damages. ' 

Ashley - ' Respectively Major, you expect someone like me who just came out of flight school to be able to fight a neuroi alone easily with out help and kill it just as fast I get into combat? It was my first time fighting a neuroi, but because of you and Miyafuji that is attacks weakened and I was able to finish it. Miyafuji, your father made the striker to help the people who couldn't fight, the striker was made to protect those who lost everything, to bring hope to those who lost it. Miyafuji, wearing a striker does not make you a cold hearted soldier, witches like me and Sakamoto, wear the striker to ultimately fight for a future where the next generation don't have to see this war anymore, to live in peace, to smile everyday, we sacrificed are childhood to make sure our siblings or children don't have to fight. just let that sink in Miyafuji. '

Before listen to any response I fly back down to the carrier and land my striker and hook it to it base, if it all goes well we wont have, Miyafuji the I don't need any gun girl but, I will protect the future girl. As I take a look at my unit after its first flight for any kind of damage or any defects that my have appeared during flight. I hear foot steps behind me the rhythmic sounds tells me its the major.

Ashley - ' Life works in mysterious ways doesn't it Sakamoto? '

Major Sakamoto - ' It does, your magic, it puts you into a bloodlust? '

I turn towards her and give her a awkward smile as i rub the back of my head.

Ashley - ' Hahaha, no that's a secondary influence form my familiar. It's a wolf type, Fenrir. I was pretty lucky getting a familiar like her.'

Major Sakamoto - ' What you said earlier, it seems like you known Miyafuji and me for a long time. The first time I met you was in Fuso. '

Ah damn, looks like I messed up. she sus of my now.

Ashley - ' Yes that is the first time we met, but not the first time I heard of you or the strike witches. All eleven of you, it also the same for Miyafuji. Like I said all eleven of you. It looks like the kid wants to talk to you. '

I point to Miyafuji as she seems like she want to talk to the Major. I walk away and and just pass the door and  lean around the corner to hear how the conversation will play out.

Yoshika - ' I want to join the strike witches, I want to help the people who need it, to protect them.'

Major Sakamoto - ' HAHAHA. Excellent, ill introduce you to the other nine of the witches when we get to the base. with you there will be elev... '

Hearing the major catch on, I leave with a smile on my face. We will be reaching the port soon to unload the supplies at the 501st base. I guess she will assume my magic ability is to predict the future like Eila. Lets see how the rest of the trip plays out. I already changed events, lets help Yoshika out, ill tell the crew what she said, maybe word it differently make it seem like she's a saint. She mostly is, A disciple of Lynn's chest. Hahaha.
