The Killing Joke

I wake up and look out my window to see Hikari running laps around the base. I get dressed and make my way to the monument pillar out side and sit near the top of it leaning back look at the clouds. Its going to be hot when I end up going to Romania, the large temperature difference will be such a drag. Maybe I can get Ursula to drop off a unit for me with and Air cooler in it. She would love to make something like that. My lazy relaxation is interrupted by someone calling out to me.

Hikari - ' Ashley, when did you get up here? '

I humm in response. I look over to her, and then look back to the clouds.

Ashley - ' About, since you were halfway done your second lap around the base. Now keep climbing up and down, it will help you gain control over your magic,  use smaller circles, when you get comfortable only use your feet to walk up, you will build up your core as well. '

Hikari pauses for a bit then resumes her training. After her third time climbing the pillar, I hear her gasp.

Hikari - ' Big sis... '

Takami - ' What are you doing? Why aren't you packed and getting ready to leave? '

Hikari - ' I- I... '

I cut her off before she can continue and ruin the plan.

Ashley - ' Because I'm not leaving yet, she working for me. Since she's not wanted here, I will take her. '

Takami turns to me. Wow I can really feel her anger. Too bad for you though, Minna is far more scarier. 

Takami - ' What do you mean! She has orders to go to a back line base! Orders from high up. '

Ashley - ' That would be true if it were only their orders but, I have placement orders from Galland for Hikari. A shame really, all that hard work and it didn't work out. '

Takami growls at me. Yikes she really wants to kill me. She then opens her mouth to to say something,  but forces her mouth shut. She then gives a side glance to Hikari.

Takami - ' Where do you intend to take her.'

She is clearly seething with rage. Damn, I glance over to Hikari to see her in a daze. She probably never seen her sister like this before.

Ashley - ' Here, there. Does it really matter? '

Takami - ' It does, I order you to tell me where you intend to take her. '

Oh my, what an abuse of authority. I give her a mocking smile.

Ashley - ' Why the 501st of course.

I look down to her hand to see it clenched in a fist. Come do it, do it. She trembles for a second before let her body calm down. She then sighs  and hops off the pillar. As she takes the jump off I don't forget to throw one last jab.

Ashley - ' Weak. '

I look down the pillar towards the base and see Rall attempting to hide behind a pillar. I give her a wave before turning back to a jaw dropped Hikari. I put my fonger under her jaw and close it.

Ashley - ' What are you sitting there for. Keep climbing! '

Hikari - ' Ahh, y-yes! '

She snaps out of it and keeps climbing.  This is going to be a long day. At lunch I brought Hikari some food and water and made sure she kept trainning. Her endurance is her strong suit and I intend to make it stronger. I made her use her magic to give small boosts to her step when she ran. Boosting her running speed as well as teaching her control. It was funny the forst few times she put to much magic and went flying. 

I raise my hand in a stop motion for Hikari. She stops jist in front of me arms waving in circles to keep her balance.

Ashley - ' We are dome for the day, tale this time to eat, then relax. It's been to quiet recently. Best be prepared. '

Hikari - ' Yes! '

She then runs off with a big smile on her face. She's to honest for her own  good. She would definitely be great friends with Miyafuji. I look out to the lake in the direction of hive Gregory.  Its pretty soon, eh? A voice startles me from behind.

Rossman - ' You could go a lil easier on the sisters. Don't you think this has gone on long enough? '

Ashley - ' Has it? Both of the Karibuchi sisters have there own problems, I'm doing what  I think can help them. '

Rossmann - ' They are going to break before you can solve their problems. '

Ashley - ' Something feels wrong, and they need to sort everything out before the operation. This operation will fail. '

I mumble the last sentence to the level Rossmann couldn't hear me at. With things  changing.  Looks like I'll have to stay long then I plans.  I can always fly to Romania although it will be a hard and long flight. About 2 days if I push it. Alright, ill do that.

Rossmann - ' What did you mumble off about? '

Ashley - ' I need a striker, I'll be staying a little longer. Hope you don't mind.  '

She gives her a look of not believing me be for relenting and giving a sigh.

Rossmann - ' Alright I'll see if we can get a unit for you. You probably won't be able to pick a unit. Just whatever they give us. '

Ashley - ' Thats fine, just make sure we have alot of ammunition.  '

Rossmann nods her head and heads back inside. So I have to fly again. This get my blood boiling. I can't wait.  I head back inside after calming down a bit. Dinner was excellent as expected. I lay down in my bed and plan for everything that should happen. Only a few more days till the operation.
