The Wolf makes friends

The base sets off the morning call, I can hear it from my room in town. the lack of sleep I'm subject to has put me in a bad mood for the morning, hopefully I can find something that will help me unwind. lets go eat some breakfast they serve here, I was told it was all paid for. I get dressed in uniform and leave my room. Walking to the dinning area of the inn, a bowl of rice and miso was laid out with a little name tag  with my name on it was laid out for me. My day has gotten brighter thanks to the kind people of this inn, I shall now spare these kind people from my wrath. The food, just the food. I now see the truth, the truth on why all isekai becomes food heavy. I finish my meal and say my thanks to the kind workers of this inn.

I walk out of the town towards the countryside. I hope I'm just on time for the start of the series. Ah, there is an old man on a motor cart, and two lil head in the back of his, and there is the raccoon or rodent thing that jumps out, and they flipped. I run over to see if they are alright. 

Ashley - ' Hey! Are you alright?'

Yoshika - ' Mich-chan!'

Miyafuji's yell of concern and panic fill the air. I hop down the bank to get a better view of the scene, and wow that a lot of damage. Miyafuji has her hands on her friend's wound and is keeping pressure.

Ashley - ' Clam down, keep pressure on the wound, we can take her to a doctor or the base there should be a witch to heal here there.'

Yoshika - ' I can heal her!' 

such determination, pacifist route? hahaha, better help her with controlling her magic. I move behind her and place my hands on her back and focus my mana through her. I calm and correct the flow of her spell, I'm very amazed she can just use brute force to power such a delicate spell. her focus falters a little.

Ashley - ' Keep your focus, your not used to using this much magic at once at this scale'

I reminder to not lose focus. she nods her head and she manages to gain control of her spell somewhat, what monstrous adaptability. The Major jumps down beside me and looks at the scene. Miyafuji finishes healing her friend and passes out.

Major Sakamoto - ' is everything alright? '

Ashley - ' Ah, Yes Major, it seems like she did it.'

I look at Miyafuji, the use of magic over taxed her, I carefully pick her up. 

Ashley - ' Major we should take then to the town clinic, this girl over taxed her magic, and the other was heavily injured it would be best for them to see medical aid.'

The Major looks me up and down, then a look a realization dawns her face.

Major Sakamoto - ' You must be Sergent O'Neil here to assist the Akagi to Britannia. '

Ashley - ' Yes Major, I am. Let get these two to a doctor first before we continue our talk and further orders.'

The major nods to my remark. she turns to her subordinate and tells him to pick up Michiko, I bring Miyafuji to the car and hop in to make sure they don't get hurt as they are laying down into the car. we start driving  and the Major Starts asking questions.

Major Sakamoto - ' She has a lot of potential doesn't she?'

Ashley - ' She does Major, but due to the high amount of magic and her lack of current control she would only be able to be seen as a normal witch, but if she were to have control over all her magic and know how to fight she would be 501st material hands down ma'am '

Major Sakamoto - ' Indeed, the same could be said for you, I have read your file you have a large amount of magic like Miyafuji here. '

Ashley - ' Wait... Miyafuji were have I heard that before?'

I have to feign ignorance or ill cause my self some trouble I don't want to deal with right now. there are a lot of things I'm not supposed to know.

Major Sakamoto - ' Her father was the one to make the Striker Units.'

Ashley - ' If she becomes a witch that a lot on here shoulders, being the daughter of the one how made it possible to effectively fight the Neuroi. That too much for such a young girl is what I would like to say.'

I caress Miyafuji's head and give sad smile.

Ashley - ' you know if you ask her to help fight she will, but I have a feeling that she will come up with an interesting compromise and view.'

Major Sakamoto - ' Hahaha! I understand what you mean. but no mater what she does her father would be proud of her.'

We reach the Miyafuji clinic. I take Miyafuji and Michiko Is taken by Hijikata. we approach the clinic and knock. we are called in. Inside we a re quickly greeted my two women.

Ms. Miyafuji - ' hello ho.. oh my, Yoshika are you alright?! '

I hand Yoshika over to her mother. aww, now now where am I supposed to get a cute fluff to cuddle. I look at Miyafuji's mother and explain the situation.

Ashley - ' I was taking a stroll before I had to report for duty when I came across your daughter and her friend fell off  the motor cart. Her friend was injured so your daughter is hero she has so much magic potential and has amazing healing abilities.'

Ms. Miyafuji - ' Why is she unconscious? '

Ashley - ' She over used her magic and it over taxed her. I better get back to the base and finish moving my stuff to the ship, It was nice meeting you.'

She nods my way, I leave the residence, the Major stays behind to continue to talk to the family. Well that went well, lets test my personal magic see if I cant mess around with my gun, make it have self correcting bullets to some degree. So many ideas I could come up with, alright lets do this. Maybe this can go like this or something, wait that's not right, how about like this, yeah that's it. Trapped in my thoughts I some how managed to making back to the base and to find my unit. By the time I snapped out of it I finished my modification to my gun.

My new baby S-gun Custom, now with a recoil dampening stock and a 15 round drum mag with quick load capabilities. The barrel now enchants the bullet at track to the target to small amount of correction. 

A hand touches my shoulder and startles me.

Sailor - ' Ma'am, we have to load your striker, the ship will be leaving soon.'

Wait, I look past the sailor to see it is now mid day outside, was I in the hanger all night. Yikes that's dangerous losing a sense of time when using my magic to build things.

Ashley - ' Yeah, I just finished tuning and cleaning my weapon. Everything should be good to load onto the ship.

The sailor quickly signals other to go and collect my unit and bring it to the ship. I go for a walk, a very enthusiastic walk. Nearing the ship I see the  Major and  Yoshika talking. I approach to see what the scene would be like in person.

Major Sakamoto - ' So, are you interested in enlisting now? '

Yoshika - ' Nope! I refuse to fight in a war! '

Yoshika turns around and pouts. Awwww, that's so adorable. Yoshika make eye contact with me and becomes surprised.

Yoshika - ' What are you doing here? '

Ashley - ' Hahaha... I'm a witch from faraway land here to escort this ship. It's nice to formally meet you now. Major?'

Major Sakamoto - ' Hahaha, It's Sakamoto, you can just call me that.'

I smile and give her a nod, I wave to them as I go and board the ship. This will be a long voyage.
