Wolf and Winning

I slowly become conscious, the events of yesterday going through my head. Ah yeah, I bet a date with Eila today. I become very excited at thay though and wake up fully, let have an early bath then go eat breakfast. I look out my window the sun hasnt risen yet.

I make my way out of my room with my spare clothes in hand and make my way to the bathroom. What a grand bathroom, I could play base ball in here, to bad i dont want to be a big rock star.

Washing my self off before getting into the bath to soak. It feels great, the warm water relaxes all my muscles and I feel so good.

A few minutes pass in peace and I decide to get out and start my day. The sun is shining, the birds are single.  What lovely day. Anyways time for food.

Feeling great I skip along to the dinning room. I enter the dinning room to find im the only one here, thats okay, the cold never bothered me anyway. I make my toast and coffee and sit down to eat.

Finishing up, I put all my dishes away and clean them. I make my way out of the dinning to bump into the Commander . She looks she she hasn't slept much and is very grouchy.

Ashley - ' Commander, there is a fresh pot of coffee, I just made it not to long ago. '

She give me a look to let me know she heard me as she males here way into the dinning room. Ill have to keep an eye on her since the neuroi will attack today.

I leave a shut the door behind me, I make my way over the the hanger to double check my unit and gun, and do some maintenance on them. Some base mechanics come over to me.

Mechanic #1 - ' we have everything handle with the units. You dont need to do anything. '

Ashley - ' My unit is a rare prototype also it heavily modified my me so of like to do my own maintenance if possible. '

One of the mechanics seem to remember something.

Mechanic #2 - ' You're the one all the other witches have been avoiding, os your ability can't make friends or something.  Hahaha! '

Wow, I was not expecting that. But that hostility to witches, and the British accent,  he might be one of Maloney's men. Maybe I can get the blueprints to the warlock early. Id have to sneaky about it.

Ashley - ' You look familiar,  are you uncle Mal's friend? '

Lets go with a smart technically but dumb relationship personally, lets see what I can pull from him.

Mechanic #2 - ' W-what? I don't remember Air Chief Marshall Maloney having a niece. '

Ashley - ' Its because Im a witch amd he doesn't like witches, so when other are around he cant say he knows me. '

I forcfully shed a tear to add more flair to my claim. He looks like hes thinking in overtime. When a he bring himself to an understanding.

Mechanic #2 - ' Yeah, I can see the Air Chief Marshall doing that. You seems pretty good mechanically. '

Ashley - ' Yup, uncle praise me for it. He said i could help with his project but he hasnt sent me the blueprints for me to look over. Do you think you could get them for me?'

I tilt my head to the side, look up at him amd act all meek. His face goes flushed amd he has to break eye contact to keep up professional airs.

Mechanic #1 - ' lolicon...'

Mechanic #2 - ' what!? No! I will get the blueprints for you dont worry. '

Ashey - ' Yay thank you mister! '

I run over and gove him a hug  then pull away and leave. Ugh I need another bath, disgusting. Well i moght get the blueprints early hopefully,  then I could get Ursla to look them over with me. As I look out the window the sun is up and it should be close to the time the neuroi attacks.

As I think that the alarm goes off. Well the we go, I run to the briefing room.

I reach the briefing room as everyone else gets there. I enter and take a seat.

Commander Minna - ' The team going out will be. Mio, Shirley, Lucchini, Perrine, Barkhorn and Hartman. The rest will stay here on stand by. '

Thoses named rush out of the room and I'm left beside Eila and the Commander. We wait in the room, everything is quite, and tense. I look over to Eila she avoiding eye contact with me. So she told the Commander about our bet. I look over to the Commander she's looking directly towards me not even hiding it.

Ashley - ' Can I help you Commander?'

Commander Minna - ' I heard about you bet with Eila, I must say its it's quite interesting to see the out come of a bet from two people with clairvoyance. '

Ashley - ' I have a feeling thats not what you want to say to me Commander. '

Commander Minna - ' I looked at your file again, you have a high  aptitude for mechanics and a large amount of magic, but you still choose to be a witch. Any magoc workshop would have taken you in easily and you would not have been on the frontlines.'

Ashely - ' Still not what you want to ask me, but I chose this because I want make a difference and as for why the 501st. Well cause I heard it was interesting. And when I met Yoshika, she seems like someone who can bring the world peace again. She has no training,  but she improving at a pace faster then most, her magic control needs to be worked on severely. Other then that she has a natural aura that brings people together.  '

The Commander was about to say something but the radio interrupts her.

Major Sakamoto - ' The neuroi we faced is a decoy the reall one is coming to the base! '

As that was said Yoshika and Bishop burst into the room.

Yoshika - ' we will fight to, to protect everyone, we will fight! '

Mina looks at me and Eila to see our reaction to this. Both me and  Eila look at eachother  then look back to the Commander in sync and nod.

We rush off to the hanger and gear up and take off. Me the Commander and Eila are in a 3 man formation and Yoshika and Bishop are near the base defending it.

We reach the neuroi, that speed is incredible although it not the fastest one, we shoot at it only to hit the rear of it. As for me I shot there on purpose  as this is not my kill to claim. The rear detaches and the neuroi speeds up and leaves us behind. It up to you now Bishop.

Eila - ' You set me up, you knew Bishop was going to kill it! '

I smile to her.

Ashely - ' All is fair in love and war. '

Commander Minna - ' if Bishop has it then lets head back. O'Neil, you knew the neuroi was going to attack today, why did you not tell us? '

Ashley - ' Somethings have to be done, it builds character. Dont tske me on the wrong way on that but, it shapes us to the best person we can be. Besides I already changed to much for what I know toatter anymore. As for the question you wantes to ask, Yes I'm on your side. Yes I trust all of you, but I want you to all trust me before I say anything. As knowing the future is a heavy curse to carry. '

I fly off ahead of them to give them some space to talk with out me there. Also for me to pick up the to besties before they drown.
