I wake up in the morning, its a nice morning. I look at the window and enjoy the sun rise. Today is the day I get to have so much fun. I walk down to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee.

I stare outside the window in the dining room. As I take my first sip of coffee the alarms start blaring. I walk down to the control room.

Once inside I see Rall at the radio. She looks over to me them to my hand seeing another coffee there. I hold the coffee I brought for her.

Rall - ' Thanks, it's rare to see you anywhere but the hanger. '

Ashley - ' Did my deployment order that I requested come in? Right i have seven days to pack, not like I brought much. '

Rall - ' It hasn't been delivered yet. What do you mean pack, and seven days? '

Ashley - ' Im going to be reassigned, I got to do some paperwork before next month or the month after. By some paperwork I mean double of what you do a week. Who knew reassembling a wing was so much work. '

Rall - ' What do you mean? '

Ashley - ' Well, the operation to take out Grigory is underway, we of the 501st still need to take the lead. We are going one up you. We are going to take a second hive with
a sword because why not. '

Rall looks at me then to the coffee as she trys to subtly put the cup down and pushes it away.

Rall - ' Have you been in the hanger all night, last night? '

I give her a dead stare, why is she changing the subject? fine, if she wants to change subject.

Ashley - ' I have not been in the hanger all night. I have some sleep? '

Rall - ' Why are you questioning yourself if you had any sleep last night? '

Ashley - ' I may have been too excited to go to sleep. I'm going to see everyone again. '

Rall - ' Everyone, especially Minna? '

Ashley - ' Yes! Everyone, especially Minna! Wait, thats not fair! '

Rall, bursts into laughter. I puff my cheeks out to show my dissatisfaction.

Rall - ' You really are excited, you released your familiar and your tail was wagging quickly. '

I quickly look behind me and see my tail. Its still wagging, I grab my tail and hold it to my chest. I look at Rall with tears in my eyes. I then run away to my safe place, the hanger.

In the hanger, I calm myself by repairing striker parts that are damaged. As I finish my fourth crate, everyone comes back from their mission.

Rossmann - ' Ashley, we all have to go to the briefing room as we have one of the generals here. '

Ashley - ' Got it, be right there. '

I grab a cloth near by and wipe my hands clean. I follow everyone as we file into the briefing room. Once inside, I see a well dress general with his hands behind it back. We all stand behind a chair and salute him. He returns one back. We the sit down and he goes on aboit changes of the plan for the operation. Some of the girls start freaking out, that Hikari has to go touch the core in the hive. I see a glint of amusement in his eyes. Hes not saying anything on purpose. He then looks out the window.

General - ' Well, looks like she's here. The witch used in the operation has jist arrived. Ah, Right. I owe Galland a favor. Who is O'Neill here? '

I stand up quickly and salute him.

Ashley - ' Sir, I am! '

He nods and salutes me. He then walk over to me and hands me a letter. I give him a playful smile. He catches on quickly and looks down to the letter then to Hikari then to the witch that is now landing outside. He gove me a playful smile back.

General - ' Well, you are all dismissed. We will continue to go over the operation within the next couple of days. '

As soon as we are dismissed Hikari runs out the door to see her sister. I walk calmly behind everyone rushing to meet Takami. Rall and the general laugh at the younger girls rushing off.

I reach the hanger where everyone except Hikari are talking to Takami.

Ashley - ' Looks like Yoshika did a good job healing you. '

Takami hears my comment and turns towards me. She tries to remember of she seen me before. It's really cute, Hikari does the same thing when she tries really hard to remember something.

Takami - ' It was Miyafuji that healed me. '

Ashley - ' Yes, Miyafuji Yoshika. Ex- member of the 501st Sakamoto's protege. '

This makes Takami's eye open wide, she never knew the witch treatimg her was 501st or the protege of Sakamoto. Then she comes to a realization.

Takami - ' You're with the 501st too! '

Ashley - ' Yes, I was. I still am we sre just disbanded for the moment. I came here to help the 502nd durring the down time the 501st is reformed. Well if you'll excuse me I have some other things to take care of. '

I walk away out of the hanger. I see Kanno and Nippa peaking around the hanger door looking at Hikari being all sad.

Ashley - ' Hey, you two. Go talk with Takami more. Ill handle Hikari. '

Nippa gives me a concerned look and Kanno glares at me before grabbing Nippa's hand and walking off to Takami again. I watch them get some distance before making my way to Hikari.

Ashley - ' How are you feeling? '

Hikari - ' Am I not good enough, did everything I do mean nothing? '

Ashley - ' Hey, Hikari follow me. ' I turn and slowly walk down the runway till we reach the end. I sit down facing east. I pat the spot beside me. Hikari slowly sits down, I can hear her breath hitching like shes about to cry.

Ashley - ' Look out there tell me what you see? '

Hikari slowly raises her head and wipes at the tears that are slowing forming on her face.

Hikari - ' I see trees, snow, the sky. Whats this have to do with anything? '

Ashley - ' Whats beyond the tree and snow in this direction? '

Hikari - ' More tree and snow? '

Ashley - ' Hive Gregory. We fight to protect everyone between us and the hive. '

I point to the the town arcoss the lake from us.

Ashley - ' They are counting on us to protect them and their families. The general gave me your new deployment orders. I have to make sure you read them. '

Hikari lowers her head and nods. I hand her the orders, she slowly starts reading them with pure sadness. Then slowly she start reading quicker then before. She then look up to me and see me smiling at her.

Ashley - ' When I'm gone I need someone to fill my shoes her as a helper, be it in combat or just helping around here. And since this ordeelr came from Galland herself your sister can't do anything about it. Hikari starts crying of joy and then jumps on me.

Hikari - ' Thank you. Thank you! '

Ashley - ' Yes, yes. There there. I have one small favor to ask of you. '

Hikari - ' What is it! I'll do anything! '

Ashley - ' We are going to play a trick on your sister. '
