Fenrir in the 501st

The jolt of the plane landing, and me falling off the bench wake me up. Ow, I rub my head thats now sore. The co-pilot comes into the cargo hold and see me on the ground and gives me a weird look. Then looks behind me

Ashley - ' what? '

The co-pilot points behind me.

Co-pilot - ' I came to wake you up we are taxiing to the hanger. Also deal with them they are going to knock things over. '

I turn my head to see what he is talking about. I see Kanno, Nippa and Hikari tied up with gags in their mouths. They look uncomfortable but happy to see me. Sigh, lets get them untied.

Ashley - ' I'm going to untie you girls bit don't jump around till we get out of the plane. Do I make myself clear? '

All three of them nod their heads. I then untie all of them. Nippa tries to jump on me but I open the door behind me and let her fly out of the plane. The others look shocked that I did that. I look at them and raise my eye brow at them. They both shake their heads in panic. 

Ashley - ' Good, now that we got that out of the way. It's good to see you girls again. I was getting tired laying in bed. Why are you three in here? Wait, you broke your units again. Didn't you? '

Hikari looks down to her feet and Kanno looks away from me.

Hikari - ' You're able to use your magic again. We were told you can't use magic any more. '

Ashley - ' It was only temporary my body was healing. '

They don't need to know what was really wrong or what happend to fix it. I'll tell Rossmann, Pokryshkin and Rall. Right still have to destroy the alcohol.

The plane comes to a halt. The pilot walks out of the cabin and looks at us then goes to the co-pilot who is checking the cargo. I open the door again and wait for the disembarking stairs are move up before getting out.

Hard ground finally. Both Hikari and Kanno follow right behind me. Further down the runway I see Nippa running towards us. I walk into the hanger to see everyone there. Everyone looks excited to see me again. I walk up to Rall and salute her.

Ashley - ' Flying Officer O'Neil, reporting for duty! '

Rall - ' At ease. It's good to see you Ashley. Welcome back. '

Ashley - ' I'm back. '

I start to tear up. I give everyone a smile, that they return.

Pokryshkin - ' You three kneel! Do you know how much work it is to fix broken units. '

Krupinski - ' What did I miss? How Hikari you're a break witch too now. '

Pokryshkin - ' Krupinski, you kneel too. '

Krupinski  - ' Why what did I do? '

Pokryshkin - ' You're enabling Karibuchi to be like you three. '

Krupinski laughs and rubs the back of her head. She didn't even notice me. Damn, thats heartless, I was even warming up to her. Oh well time to go shoot some bottles.

Ashley - ' Rossmann, do you know were the bottles are kept? Being stuck In bed for sometime might made me rusty. I'm sure Krupinski wouldn't mind donating some bottles. After all she loves everyone right? '

Rossmann turns to my confused before looking back to Krupinski and realizing what I meant.

Rossmann - ' They are kept in the fourth cup board from the stove. '

The despair on Krupinski face is very evident. She tries to crawl to me.

Krupinski - ' Ashley, please anything but that! '

Ashley - ' I wasn't here to unplug your morphine, so this will have to do. '

Krupinski - ' I thought you were joking. '

Pokryshkin - ' Krupinski, keep kneeling! Your not getting up yet! '

Krupinski sits on her knees again and wails as I walk off to go grab her alcohol. Rall, Pokryshkin and Rossmann follow behind  me.

I reach the kitchen and prepare some tea for the talk we are about to have.

Rossmann - ' We read the medical report, you using magic should be impossible. '

I interrupt the pouring tea and put the pot down, I talk in a lowered voice and play with my empty cup.

Ashley - ' Indeed, it was. But using my magical ability in a certain context made it slightly possible. About five-ish percent chance of working. The choices were death by magic failure or blowing up into red mist. So I took the five percent chance. '

Pokryshkin - ' What you did  was stupid that what! '

Rall - ' You were going to die either way. If you didn't do anything you would have had maybe a year or less. You took your option of either dying instantly or fix yourself. Did I get that right? '

I nod to her, she was right after all. I pick up the pot and fill my cup finally. 

Ashley - ' Yes, those were my options. '

We all sit down at the dinner table and quietly drink our tea. Both Rossmann and Pokryshkin finish their tea and leave. Leaving me and Rall alone. 

Ashley - ' Did you get the report on the amount of Neuroi that ambushed me?'

Rall - ' Yes, For them to appear there without any warning of radar or visual detection. It's terrifying to know theu can move around like that.'

Ashley - ' It must be a type of Neuroi that can block radar, they hid in the clouds. If everything going to plan for the elimination of the hive? '

Rall - ' Yes, the Generals are finalizing the details and gathering the resources for the operation.  '

Ashley - ' Ill be heading to the 501st after the operation.  '

Rall - ' Aren't they disbanded? Oh, right... were are you going to deploy? '

Ashley - ' Near Romania, a change in situation. We will handle it. '

Rall - ' I see, of you need help we can do what we can. '

Ashley - ' Thank you, but we should have it all handled. Might need a new ship though. '

I get up and gather the empty cups. And wash them.

Ashley - ' Good night, Rall. '

Rall - ' You too, Ashley. Welcome back.'

Rall leaves and im left alone in the kitchen.  I wipe my hands dry and look out the window,  it's good to be back.
