Keep doing that kay?? ^3^ Hihi!!! :))
The rain pours down heavily as we ate our dinner. Its crashing sounds on the roof noise clearly inside the house as lightening flashes and thunders roar in the sky. The wind blows hardly and splashes some drops inside so Dylan closed all the windows and pulled down the blinds.
After eating, we decided to stay on the couch and have some movies to watch. But we didn't find any interesting ones so we ended up watching the news and finding the latest insight about the storm.
"Looks like we have a greater one this time..." Dylan said as he turn the volume up to make it clear through the pouring rain.
I just nodded and rested my head on my hand. Then all of a sudden, I accidentally let out a yawn that made Dylan to turn his head to me from locking his gaze on the news.
"Maybe we should go to bed now..." He chuckled.
"What? No... I'm fine." I quickly smiled back to him but my voice is already in sleepy tone.
He laughed softly and shook his head in response. Then he stood up and walk around to the kitchen to get some snacks for us.
I closed my heavy eyes and rested my head back on the couch. Actually I'm really sleepy now. But I still don't want to go to bed because Dylan is still awake and I think he's still planning to watch some late night movies. And besides, I'm still not gonna be able to sleep when I go upstairs because I admit, I am scared of storms.
Since I was a child, rains and storms really don't delight me. I have a little phobia on those things because I feel like thunders are destroying the grounds when it crashes from the sky and lightnings seem casting shadows of different creepy creatures when it strikes. And I kinda feel like it is going to hit me when I see it breaks the sky above. Also, the cold and wet ambiance that surrounds me every stormy night gives chills down my spine until now. That's why I never get to fight and overcome my fear of storms so I'm still like a pathetic child who wants someone to sleep with whenever it arrives on the seasons of the year.
"Hey, are you still awake?" Dylan's voice suddenly boomed that made me to jolt up on the couch.
"Ah- huh?! Y-yeah! I'm still okay!..." I said widening my eyes and giving him a smile of assurance.
"But you're already sleeping there," He chuckled as he walked up to the television and then turned it off.
"Huh? I thought you're gonna watch some movies?" I asked frowning while adjusting myself on the couch.
"Yeah but, the reception is weak due to the storm. And it's already late... I think we should go to bed now." He said and smiled at me playfully, probably thinking about me needing to go to bed right now.
I just sighed and slowly nodded while mouthing an agree to myself. He then flicked the light off then we go up the stairs and into our rooms to take a rest.
I was stopped from entering my room when I heard his voice echoed in the dark hallway.
"Good night, Amanda." He said before he went into his room.
"Goodnight." I answered softly with a small smile curving up my lips then I went inside the room I'm using.
I turn the light on as soon as I get inside the room. My eyes landed straightly on the window that illuminates the lightning flashes and heavy rainfalls outside the road. I hesitantly walk up to the window and have a quick look outside the dark streets. Then I sighed and pulled the curtains down so I wouldn't see the lightning flashes that still scare me to bones until now.
