Miserable at Best

Chapter 10: Date

The sun hits my face as it passes through the window of the apartment. It's a new day again and I woke up from resting my head against Andrej's chest. I groggily pulled myself up as we both wake up from our sleep.

Andrej smiled and slowly get up when he saw me with his sleepy eyes.

"Hey," He greeted in his soft and husky voice.

"Good morning." I respond smiling.

We stretched up as we pulled away from each other. He then looked at me and smiled while he brushed his hand through his hair.

"Did you have a good sleep?" He asked smiling.

I smiled brightly before I responded. "Definitely."

"Good." He nodded and stood up.

I followed him to the kitchen and watch him take foods out of the fridge.

"I don't know what you want, but I have here some foods to prepare. Just choose among them." He said putting the foods on the table.

I chuckled and walked up to him.

"A bread and butter is enough." I said and take the bread before putting the foods back to the fridge.

He chuckled and walked to the sink and started preparing his coffee.

"Do you want coffee?" He asked as I prepare the bread.

"Sure." I answered.

Just after I finished filling the bread with butter, he turned around and sat on chair with two cups of coffee in his hands.

"Wow, how'd you know I like black?" I said when he gave me mine.

"Really?" He smiled a bit surprised "Well actually I don't. It's my favorite type of coffee so I thought I'd just make yours the same... And didn't expect you like it too." He then said.

"Well I like your taste." I laughed and he chuckled.

We finished breakfast with chats and little talks about nonsense things. Then I volunteered to wash the dishes and he let me do it.

"Uhm... Amanda? Do you get bored here?" Andrej suddenly asked as he watches me wash the plates.

"Uhm, not really... Why?" I responded as I finished my work.

"Well... I just want to ask if you wanna go out?" He smiled plainly.

"Go out? Where??"

"Uhm, out there! Just have some stroll to anywhere you want!" He said smiling shyly.

"Really? You're gonna take me out?!" I asked surprised.

"Uhm.. Yeah. Well, I see you've been locking yourself here for about a week or something, so I thought maybe we should go out to have fun." He smiled sweetly.

My eyes sparkled in surprise. "Of course! I'd love to!" I said happily with a big smile plastered on my face.

"Great! Well then, go change now and we'll leave.." He smiled and I quickly nodded.

"Okay just wait for me..."

I quickly took a shower and get dressed. I wear the dark red shirt with printed skull that he gave me and put on my black jacket. Then I slipped in my jeans and put on my converse before I stepped out of the bathroom.

When I went out, Andrej is already dressed and waiting for me on the couch. He wears a plain white long sleeve shirt and black tight pants together with his jean-blue colored converse. He stood up when he saw me and I quickly walked up to him.
