We stayed bound to each other on the couch until the sun hits the horizon. The faint air that comes out of his breathing ghostly pass my skin while my hands keep stroking his thin, crisp strands of hair. Jeff tightens his grip around me every so often as if he will never want to let me go again. Occasionally, he will slightly shift on his place to balance the pressure of his body. But he still remains unmovable above me like a child who does not want to be taken away from his mother.
Suddenly, he shot his head up and look at me with a smile. I gave him a confused look as soon as our eyes met but he just widened his smile as a response.
"What?" I asked wide-eyed.
"Aren't you hungry?" He asked smiling like a fool.
I then suddenly start to feel the sensation that I wasn't aware I have in my stomach for the past few days. Then I also started remembering the last time I had eaten any meal and how many days I was out without any real foods.
"Well... Yeah. I am." I said as if I just found out something new in my system.
Jeff chuckles and quickly pushed himself up. He stretched out his arms and rotated his head before looking back at me with glee on his face.
"Well, c'mon! Let's get something to eat!" He smiled and reached out his hand for me.
Confused, I took his hand on mine and he quickly pulled me up from the couch. My head spun for a minute causing me to lose my balance, but Jeff quickly caught me and brought me up just before I fall to the ground.
"Whoa, you really need something to eat now." He smiled and I chuckled.
"Yeah I guess so."
"Well then come on! We have to hurry before the cops start roaming around again." He laughed and we went out of the house.
He holds my hand firmly in his as we started walking up to a nearby convenient store. Jeff pulled me close to him as we go to the side of the store and peek inside through the windows. He secretly watches the people inside while studying their moves and actions. My heart beats loudly in my chest as his actions tell me what he is planning to do in the convenient store.
"Jeff..." I whispered tugging on his hand slightly. He sharply turned his head on me with questioning state in his eyes. But his expression softens when he saw my confused reaction and his lips started curving back into smile.
"Don't worry... I got this." He whispered back and let go of my hand.
I quickly hold his hand again stopping him from taking his first step. He looks at me wide-eyed with his brows frowning in confusion. With fear and worried look on my face, I shook my head telling him not to do what he is planning. Then his expression turned from confused to shocked and annoyed glance.
"What?" He mouthed silently as his brows knotted in confusion.
I furrowed my brows and shake my head slowly. My grip on his hand tightened as my emotion starts to flow. Mixed anger and frustration crawl up my nerves as Jeff gave me a sharp look and tried to take his hand out of my grip. I struggled hardly to keep my hold firm on him but Jeff is much stronger than my strength. I look at him shocked as he glared at me and turned around before walking up to the front door, pulling his hood up to cover his face in the process.
"Jeff!" I called out but he ignored and continued walking inside.
I covered my mouth with shaky hands as I watch him walk in a fast pace through the alleys of the shelves. My body starts to shake and slowly fall down to my knees as I watch the customers and staffs follow him with their eyes as he silently walked past them and grab some of the foods. The guard by the entrance frowned as he watched him went inside and get some stuffs. But after a minute he slowly walked up to him for he probably sensed something around Jeff.
