Wyatt POV
We arrive back to the pack and immediately make our way toward Maureen's office. She is there waiting for us along with Jax, Lucille, Dennis, and Garret.
Blaine, who surprisingly I have been hanging out with lately, calmly tells everyone about his encounter with the rogue in the store and his observations, thoughts. He and I seem to be making some progress with moving in a positive direction. He doesn't seem to be as angry anymore, at least not at me anyway.
There is a discussion regarding security measures with a plan for Dennis to review any video, photo footage in and around the convenience store. With everyone understanding their assigned responsibilities, we all purposely leave Maureen's office and go our separate ways.
Maureen and I head to our private room. I can tell how tense she is and am eager for us to be inside our calm, special space. While we silently walk toward our apartment my thoughts drift to what I plan on asking Maureen to do.
Despite the rogue, Alpha Toby, and the safety issues we are facing I am actually excited about asking her to turn me. I'm confident for this next step. I want to do this now. It just feels right. I would imagine most in my situation, especially with my painful past experiences, would be nervous, even scared.
But, I'm not surprisingly. Why one might wonder? Because I really have nothing to lose and so much to gain. It's not that I'm not happy with myself, that I think I'm not enough. It's really the opposite. I've gotten to a point with Maureen, Shelia's love and encouragement, where I'm safe, confident, and at peace. It's because of that, that I feel completely ready to take the next step for myself, Maureen, and the pack.
We finally arrive to our apartment door and quickly enter, like the walls themselves offer their own version of serenity and protection.
I stroll toward the kitchen with Maureen not far behind. My movement to the kitchen and pushing the "start" button on the coffee machine is done almost without thought, being more like a habit. She quietly takes a seat on a comfortable, cushy stool at the counter and leans onto the cool marble with her elbows, resting her chin in her hands.
"Don't worry Wyatt. You'll be protected, I promise. Please don't stress out too much," she gently says, thinking I need assurance.
"I'm not worried Maureen. The opposite actually. I'm okay, really."
I pause and turn to look at her after I finish fiddling with the coffee maker.
"Really? You're sure? How? Most humans would be freaking out to learn a rogue werewolf was near them, probably to hurt or kill you with everything going on," she presses, seeming to doubt my words, which stung a bit, but I know she is stressed and concerned.
"I'm not worried about the rogue. I have something else on my mind Maureen," I patiently inform her.
"Really? Please share, now, because I'm a nervous wreck right now and Shelia is inching to take control to make sure you're okay," she sincerely conveys to me.
Maureen POV
**Damn right, I need to know he is okay!!- Shelia growls
"I want you to change me. Tonight," he tells me, serious as a heart attack. No humor showing on his face.
**Wait, WHAT??- Shelia chokes out.
*I can feel your excitement. Settle down, I need to focus.
**Whatever! I want to listen to him-Shelia snaps
"Change you?!" I slowly ask him, waiting to make sure I heard him correctly.
"Yes," he confidently replies. Pride emanating throughout my body at how he has grown so much since I first met him into the bold man before me.
"You are enough being you, human. You don't need to change Wyatt, especially for us." I desperately try to assure him that he doesn't need for me to change him. That we love him the way he is. That he is enough.
**He will always be enough no matter what form he is in!- Shelia growls in agreement.
"Maureen, it is because of you, Shelia that I am secure enough in this decision. Because you have shown me love, patience, understanding, and support. I really want this. I promise you," he honestly tells me while he deliberately make his way to me so that he is standing beside me. He tenderly reaches out so he is holding my face between his hands and slowly caresses my cheeks with his thumbs. The electric current is now radiating throughout my entire body, right down to my toes. He leans over, captures my wanting lips, and I moan at the ecstatic feeling rushing all over my being. Damn, I love his lips on mine. I will never tire of this feeling. My core is heating up with the mere thought of of being with him. I reach up and wrap my arms around his neck, with one hand moving on to run my fingers through his soft hair. He pulls me close and reaches one arm around my waist while placing the other at the back of my head to deepen our kiss.
**Love mate so much. Want him-Shelia groans.
*Agree
"I love you so much Maureen," he whispers,
"I love you beyond words Wyatt. I'll turn you tonight as you wish," I whisper back.
With that, he smoothly lifts me up bridal style with his arms and firmly pulls me to his chest. We make our way to our bedroom where things are about to get very interesting.
Little did I know just how true that would turn out to be.
