***Thank you to whomever is reading my story. You have helped me with a goal of mine to write a story and have others (besides my family) read it. Thank you for taking time to read it and hope you enjoy :) ***

Wyatt POV

I am walking down the stairs and am heading toward Maureen's office when I notice a tall man standing near the front door of the house. He seems to be waiting for something or someone. I really do not pay him too much attention and continue to head toward Maureen's office when the man's head snaps toward me. I stop to look at him directly in the eyes. He has sandy blond hair, blue eyes, which seem to be glaring at me, has a muscular build, and stands about 6'3''. He sniffs the air like he is trying to locate something smelly because he has a disgusted expression on his face. He narrows his focus back to me with a scowl on his face and his eyes seem to be glowing! I also could of sworn I just heard a growl too! What the hell?! Then, Jax quickly approaches this guy and begins talking to him.  I take this moment to continue on my way to Maureen's office. I lightly knock and I hear a sweet "Enter." There she is sitting behind a large antique looking desk. She stands up with a wide smile on her face, walks around the desk to come sit on a light blue, fluffy couch while motioning for me to sit beside her on the right.

"Do you know that blond guy at the front door? He looks pissed off!",  I mention.

She huffs, "Oh, that is Toby. He is another supervisor like me. He's an ass though so I would like you to avoid him if possible whenever you see him honestly, which shouldn't be too often really. I sent Jax to see him out. Now, why don't we go over what is coming up with your uncle and the assault case", she states.

I hate I am going over this with her. I hate she saw me like that. As much as I hate being beaten, injured, and weak in front of her I do feel safe and comfortable with her. I look at the folders Maureen has laid out on the coffee table in front of the couch, nervous about reviewing the contents.

"Ok, Wyatt. There is a lot to go over relating to your uncle and aunt. We do not have to go over all of it today or even this week for that matter if you don't want to. There is the issue of your uncle's assault on you. His past abuse. Your aunt basically looking the other way regarding the abuse and neglect, which she needs to be held accountable. Then, there is the money issue", she comments.

"Um, wait, wait. W.. What?! What m..money issue?", I stutter out, dumbfounded.

"Well, I'm not surprised you don't know about the money actually since they controlled so much of your life. It would not do them any good to let you know. You know,  with them taking your money and all and spending it on themselves. Do you want to save that discussion for another day while we go over the assault case today so you don't get overwhelmed and too tired?", she suggest.

"Yeah, lets do that. I really want to focus when we go over the money issue", I state.

"Ok, sounds good to me. Now, lets dive into this shall we", she urges. She sounds like she wants to get this over with as much as I do.

She reaches for a file, opens it, and proceeds to review the contents. It includes Maureen's statement, my statement, a list of my injuries along with photos  provided by the hospital and police, which are tough to look at I must admit, and hospital reports. I can tell the longer the longer we look through the files the more she becomes tense and stressed. I hate to see her getting upset period, especially over me. I wish I could do something to reassure  and calm her. So, I reach over and hold her right hand which is continuously and mindlessly flipping her pen around and around her fingers, like a fidgety habit.

"It's ok. I'm here and good now. The worst of it is over, thanks to you. I'm no longer with them and all this is  for me is just clean-up and closure, ok",  I tell her. I say this while hoping to sound calm and confident although I feel anything but. I do however feel her relax, which helps to calm me as well.  She smiles at me and takes a deep breath, all while still allowing me to hold her hand. While I hold her hand I feel warmth and happiness. Man, I can hold her hand and stare into her amazing blue eyes for the rest of my life. She gives my hand a light squeeze and lets go since she needs to start putting the material back in the file.

"We have a court date next Monday about this.  There may be something which are brought up that may be difficult for you to see and hear. Not just about this case but about your past with your uncle and aunt since it will should a pattern and longevity of their actions. They may be upsetting but remember I am right there with you, ok. We will ride together and stay together throughout the proceedings. The only possible time I may not be able to be with you is if the judge ask to speak with you privately. If that happens we will request a police office to be present in the room. I am only trying to thoroughly prepare you. The more you know and the less likely you will surprised the better you can handle things. Do you think you will be ok?", she wonders while studying my face.

"I should. I hope so. I will do my best. I can't guarantee I will not get upset  since these people really have scared me growing up and piss me off now", I inform her.

"Ok, I get that. I will try my best too. Although I can't promise 100% either", she states. "Who knows, I may kick your uncle so hard in his family jewels his balls come out his nostrils or I slap your aunt so hard across her face she has a permanent hand print", she says while displaying a sweet innocent smile.  I actually laugh out loud!!

''That would be a sight actually!! I would pay to see that!!" I chuckle.

On that note, we take a break from this particular discussion and go have lunch, agreeing to have the money issue talk for another day.
