Chapter 68- Brownie Realm Surprises Part 2

I'm so relieved to have found the children yet I know we have to get out of here asap. With the kids' experience with the wolves it's urgently clear something dark and threatening has suddenly arrived with my realm. I need to act quickly or my people will be in tremendous danger. I know that witches, werewolves, and the corrupted brownie Kaleo are involved in some twisted, selfish plans but I'm concerned other supernatural beings are involved since we are still gathering intell. 

I hurriedly close and lock the door to the storage room where I originally found the scared young ones. 

I gather them into the middle of the room and hug them tightly before instructing them to sit down. They are stressed and tired so I believe sitting down would be safer for them since I don't want either of them fainting and getting hurt. I need to check in with Kaholo before transporting anywhere. I definitely don't want to re-locate the children into a volatile, dangerous situation. 

'Kaholo, report' I sternly instruct through our tribal communication link. 

'Chieftain, Sir. Check-in reports continue to come in. Should be completed soon Sir.'

'Thank you Kaholo. Keep me posted on any and all developments. I will join you in the Kaua Lumi at Warrior Headquarters when  U get the little ones situated. I plan on transporting the children, Havika and Alohi, directly to the haukapila (hosptial) for a check-up. Any reports of issues there?'

'No Chieftain. No issues reported Sir.'

'Good. I will meet you once they are settled. Dismissed.'

'Yes Chieftain. Understood Sir.'

30 Minutes Later in the Kaua Lumi (Hawaiian for War Room)

I'm now standing at a grand table, which has maps of my kingdom strategically spread out in the middle of the largest Kaua Lumi located at Warrior Headquarters. Kaholo, as well as other Koa Warriors, are also standing around the battle table delivering reports, activities throughout the kingdom. 

Kaholo is currently to my left and pointing toward a remote forest toward the western border while reporting on what our informants and contacts are observing. 

I'm focusing on the locations and the intell coming in when suddenly I hear a woman yelling through the tribal communication link :

'Chieftain! Chieftain! There is a portal opening here deep in Hilo Forest. I was on an exploration hike when all of a sudden there was a bright light and what looked like a rip in mid-air. The rip burst open and a wide hole opened up!! It. Opened. Up Chieftain!! And wolves started jumping through it!! Sir! Sir send..

Suddenly she is cut off!!!!! Total silence! She's not trying to reach out again!

'Makani!' I instantly yell through the tribal communication link to the Eastern Border Patrol Head Warrior. 

'Yes Chieftain?'

'There is a distress call from a tribal female deep in the Hilo Forest. Send a scouting party immediately. She was cut off before she gave further location details. She mentioned a portal opening with wolves entering our realm. Be vigilant! Report any intell directly to me.'

'Yes Chieftain.'

"Kaholo, you have contacted each Border Patrol Head Warrior, correct?"

"Yes, Chieftain. Here are their latest reports. We are still receiving reports from the many contacts we've been able to reach."
