Three weeks later..........................

The day Wyatt is discharged from the hospital

Wyatt POV

These three weeks have been painful, interesting, and amazing. The physical pain. Learning more information about my uncle and aunt. Spending time with Maureen and getting to know her, which is my favorite part of being in this situation. I am being released today. Maureen and I have discussed it and I will be moving in with her. Apparently, she has a big house with several housemates so it will not be just the two of us. Although that thought really doesn't bother me. I also figure if she was going to hurt me then she would not have helped me in the first place or she would have done it by now. I know I can not return to my uncle and aunt's house. Maureen has updated me a little about the issues with them although she tells me it is a "developing situation" and we will discuss things as they come. I'm lost in thought when I hear a "cough." I look up to see Maureen and I immediately smile. "Are you ready to leave or need any help?" she ask. "Oh, I'm ready when you are," I let her know. She chuckles and says "Ok, sound good. Lets go then."

The ride to her house in her blue SUV is pretty uneventful, thank goodness. We run through a drive thru so we can eat when we get home and not have to cook.

We pull up to a sprawling estate with ginormous house with a huge gate, fence, and a yard which seems to go on for miles. We drive up to the house, or mansion in my opinion, and a couple is standing outside waiting for us. Maureen stops as close to the house as possible. I assume so I  have to walk as little as possible. She gets out and comes over to my door to help me out. The couple, who are introduced as Jax and Lucille, come over to the SUV. Maureen instructs them to get my belongings out and to take everything to my room, which she says is across from hers. Maureen assist me to my room and says "Ok, you need to rest. After you rest and when you get settled in we have some things we need to discuss." She helps me to get in bed, gives me a hug, and starts to leave the room. She turns to me before she leaves and says "I'm really glad you  are ok and are here with me. Get some rest" while she turns and closes the door. Man, I can never get enough of her beautiful face and sweet smile. With that, I close my eyes, feeling safe in my comfortable bed across the hallway from Maureen.
