                       Elevator Meets

He walked into the elevator of the building he would be spending the next eight hours in, not excited. It was a typical work day, and he was so ready to get home. He noticed that there was only one other person in the elevator, and he did a double take when he saw her.

She was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen before. The day was much more exciting now. He turned to her, which caused her to do the same, and they smiled at each other.

"Hey, are you new here? I've never seen you before." She chuckled, then said, "Oh no, I've been working here for a while. I just stay on the accounting floor, so nobody really sees me." "I didn't know people this beautiful worked in accounting."

Her smile widened as she said, "You probably should since you hired me." He mentally smacked his forehead when he remembered his high position at the company. "Right, I need to work on my memory skills." "Yeah, you should." The elevator dinged, and it stopped on the accounting floor. "Well, this is my stop," she said, looking at him. "I hope to see you soon," he said too quickly. "We'll see," she said with a smirk. She walked out of the elevator and he wished he had better game.

The day went on and he kept wishing to see her again. He didn't but for the next couple of days, they rode the elevator together every morning. They had interesting conversations and he started falling for her more and more everyday.

One morning, he hyped himself up as he drove to work. He decided it was time to ask her out or nothing would ever happen. He stepped into the elevator, very excited to see her. "Hey," he said, turning to her. "Hi," she said, following suit. She looked as beautiful as ever, and he felt his confidence slipping away. He decided, it was now or never.

"I was wondering if I could take you out on a date." "A date? I don't recall you asking if I was single." He got flustered, mentally kicking himself for forgetting to do so. She noticed his face dropped, so she said, "I was just messing with you. I am single and I would love to go on a date with you." He sighed with relief, then said. "I thought I just royally screwed up." "I like to mess with people." "I can see that." She cheekily grinned at him, which made him fall even harder for her.

"Well, how about tomorrow at 6? I'll pick you up." "Hand me your phone." "Yes, ma'am." he said while he hurriedly pulled it out of his pocket and put in his password. He gave up on trying to be smooth.

"Why do you want my phone?" He asked. "Why are you asking after you've handed it to me?" She asked, laughing. "My brain isn't working too well right now." She chuckled then said, "I'm making my own contact. Text me the plans and I'll send you my address." He grinned then said, "Oh, alright."

She finished making her contact and handed him his phone back. The elevator dinged, and as she got off, she said, "You better text me." "I will," he called out as the doors closed. He looked down at his phone and smiled when he saw that she made her contact name, "the coolest person you know." He kept smiling as the elevator went up to his floor, happy that he got a date with the girl of his dreams.
