                    Lovers in Detention

"Bro, I can't believe you got us detention," she said to him as they walked to their doom. "It was an accident," he said innocently. She glared at him, which made him chuckle. At that moment, she decided to give him the silent treatment.

She walked as if she was the only person in the hallway, looking straight ahead. He quickly noticed this and decided to annoy her into talking to him again. He poked her arm and said her name over and over again, but she was not fazed. He must've forgotten she had a younger brother.

Eventually, they reached the detention room, so he had to stop. He already felt bad for getting her in trouble, so he did not want to make it worse. They walked to the back of the classroom in silence, which was unusual for the pair. They sat in desks adjacent to each other, waiting for their teacher. Once the teacher came in, they were given the typical detention rules before they were abandoned in the classroom for ages.

As soon as it was just the two of them in the room, he turned to her and pleaded, "Baby, come on. Talk to me." She turned away from him as she tried to hide her smile, and just shook her head in response. He got out of his seat and walked around the desks until he was standing in front of her.

He crouched down to her eye level, then he placed his hand under her chin. He turned her toward him and said, "Look at me." She couldn't help but make eye contact, knowing that she was wrapped around his finger. "I'm sorry, my love. I really didn't mean to get you in trouble. I know how much your clean record means to you. I would take it all back if I could," he said softly.

This time, she couldn't hide her smile. "It's fine. I appreciate your apology. But, you know we wouldn't be here if you listened to me for once," she said, giving him a look. "I probably should, but it adds a little spice to our relationship." "Shut up." He held her hands as he said, "Never. Now, come here."

He pulled her out of the desk and into a hug. After a little while, she pulled away a bit, causing him to look at her with confusion. She just smiled before smashing her lips onto his. They kissed for a while before they both pulled away. They both grinned as they caught their breath.

"I love you, but I hate you so much," she said gently. "I love you more, and you don't hate me." "Don't challenge me like that or you really won't hear from me." "You're right. I take that back." She nodded approvingly, making him laugh. She couldn't help but laugh too. When they settled, he said something completely random, causing them to talk for the rest of detention.

When their teacher came to dismiss them, they didn't want to leave. They completely ignored the teacher and continued to talk until they actually got kicked out by the janitor. Once they got to the parking lot, they said their goodbyes. Even though she was still irritated that she got detention, she couldn't help but smile, thinking about the time well spent with her favorite person.
