                        Fly on the Wall

She loved parties. She hated alcohol and drugs, but she loved being surrounded by people, talking to anyone and everyone, and dancing to somewhat decent music. Her light shined bright at parties and everyone loved her, so she wasn't surprised to get invited to the biggest house party of the year.

Days after getting invited, the day finally came. She got ready and picked up a couple of her friends, then the night began. The energy in the car was high as they all sang along to music, getting hyped up for the rest of the night. Once they reached the house, her time to shine had arrived.

For hours, she danced and talked to more people than she could count. Eventually, she started to feel drained, so she grabbed a water bottle and aimlessly walked around.

Without notice, she had caught the attention of a boy. He couldn't help but stare. He thought she was beautiful, and he was captivated by her energy. He desperately wanted to talk to her, but he thought that he had no chance. Boy was he wrong.

As she walked around, she took in her surroundings. She looked at her peers and eavesdropped on many conversations, feeling invisible. She didn't mind though, it was an interesting experience.

At some point, she stopped walking. Her eyes caught onto a boy standing in a corner, and she was intrigued. She walked toward him, then stopped when she was beside him. "Hi," she said, smiling at him. He turned to look at her hesitantly, then responded, "Hey." "What are you doing in the corner? It's no fun over here." He shrugged, then said, "I'm not like you. I'm usually nowhere near the spotlight."

She chuckled, then said, "So, you've seen me, huh?" "It's impossible not to," he smirked. "Well, why don't you join me?" He shook his head as he said, "I don't know about that, love." "Come on," she whined. He shook his head again as he laughed. She smiled at the sound of his laugh then asked, "Why don't we make a deal?"

He looked at her suspiciously as he asked,"What do you have in mind?" "Be like me for the night. In a couple of hours, I'll ask you how it felt. If you hated it, we can go grab some food, on me. If you loved it, which you will, you pay." "That doesn't sound half bad. IHOP?" "Are you reading my mind or something?"

"Yeah. You're thinking about how sexy I am right now." "Shut up," she said, laughing. "You didn't deny it," he said, smirking and wiggling his eyebrows. She rolled her eyes before saying, "Anyway, you in?" He thought for a second before saying, "Yeah, I'm in." She smiled before sticking her hand out, which he took.

She led them to the main living room, where everyone was doing all sorts of things. One of her favorite songs came on, so she dragged him to the middle of the living room, and when they reached it, she yelled, "Dance!" They danced for ages, feeling like it was just the two of them in the room.

Eventually, the music became horrible, so she took his hand and dragged him out from the dance circles. She grabbed two water bottles, handed him one, then turned to him quickly and said, "Now, it's time to socialize."

Their hands never let go of each other as they walked all over the house, talking to whoever they could. They met many interesting people and had very strange conversations, but every moment of it was amazing to them.

Hours later, they end up outside the front door. She turned to him, smiled, and said, "So, what's your review of my party experience?" He grinned at her and said, "I can't lie, I probably had one of the greatest times of my life in there. You're incredible." "Why thank you." "Of course. So, IHOP?" "Yes, and you're paying," she said, smirking at him. "Well, you're driving," he said, smirking right back at her. "Whatever," she said, shaking her head.

They walked to her car, then she drove them to IHOP. They spent the rest of the night at the restaurant, eating and getting to know each other. He smiled at her, happy that he got to spend time with the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. She smiled at him, happy that she got to hang out with the beautiful fly on the wall.
