Floating along the sidewalk, Sierra spins around with a bright smile that Kaden mirrors when he catches a glimpse of her dimples. Loosely holding onto a street lamp, she twirls it around on her tiptoes.

"Did I mention how much I love our date nights?"

"Only about a million times." He chuckles when she dances around him before taking his hand in both of hers. "But I'll never grow tired of listening to you, so say it another million times."

She brings her face close to his, still grinning from ear to ear. "I love our date nights." Her nose crinkles when he kisses her forehead. "No stress." She swings their hands. "No kids, no offence to Hope. No moody Grayson stomping around."

He huffs a short laugh and she beams with pride. "You also get treated like a queen."

"Exactly." She giggles and holds onto his wrist, feeling his watch beneath her fingertips. "Even though I don't deservー" His hand squeezing hers has Sierra raising her brows. "I do, I do deserve it."

"Right answer." He nods.

They cross the quiet road to where his car is parked and even though he's done it many times before, she still blushes when he walks her round to her side to hold open her door.

"Always a gentleman." She leans against the side of the car and pulls him closer. "For me anyway, not so much with other people."

"You're special." He cups her face and steals a loving kiss. She lifts up for another, but the rumbling engine of the motorbike just up ahead has them looking across the road instead.

The handful of guys in the slow moving car all watching the couple. It stops beside another where a hooded man is leant against it with a leg bent.

Sierra exhales. "I take back the no stress part, clearly I spoke too soon." He frowns and she lowers a hand to his chest. "Let's not start a fight. Come on. Hey. Kaden." She lightly tugs his arm. "What's wrong?"

"Get in the car."

"You can't take them all on on your own."

"Get in the car." He points, already a few steps away. Reluctantly she climbs in and shuts the door, turning in her seat to watch him with worried eyes as he cautiously approaches them.

The faceless man holds up his phone with a symbol on it that she doesn't quite catch given the distance. But Kaden releases a shaky breath and instantly retreats to the car.

The man climbs back in and the SUV speeds along the road, forcing Kaden to step out of the way to avoid being run over.

Sierra's lips part when he slams the door and grips the wheel tightly, making no effort to turn the car on.

"Are you okay?" She hears the vehicle skidding across the road in the distance. "What's wrong? Who were they?" His shaky breaths grow louder. "Kaden."

Her hand on his shoulder startles him and she jerks away. Escaping his trance, he swiftly brings the car to life and stomps his foot on the gas.

"Kaden." She jogs after him as he marches into the house, failing to match his effortlessly quick pace.

"What's going on?" Grayson puts his hands on his hips.
