In the corner of his eye, Grayson notices a figure hovering in the doorway, head against the doorframe and a tired smile framed by champagne locks. He nods his head to silently grant her permission.

Sierra's smile grows as she wanders into the peaceful room. Collapses on the empty side of the bed next to him, sighing contentedly once her aching limbs melt into the plush mattress.

"I haven't stopped all day." The words are muffled due to her face being smushed against the pillows.

"The house was peaceful without you here." He calmly turns the page of his book, skimming the next few lines.

"Shut it." She lightly slaps his arm with the back of her hand. What poses as a struggle is pulling her hand back or letting it fall. Instead it stays where it is; leant against his warm arm. He doesn't seem to mind the contact.

"Kaden still out?"

"Mmhmm. Doesn't know when he... When he'll be..."

A slitted brow arches upwards. He glances down at the side of her face to find her eyes are closed and her breaths are shallow. Grayson turns the page and continues his book in total peace.

Sierra's eyes crack open, taking in the empty half of the bed where he once laid. She lifts her head with a puzzled frown.

Sunlight is now peeping around the blackout curtainsー which she instantly notices are still closed. Normally he'd rip them open as soon as he's out of bed. Except he took one look at her still sound asleep and decided to leave her be.

"Morning." He strolls into the room dressed in workout attire.

"What time is it?"

"Almost midday."

"Oh." She rubs the sleep from her face and eyes, lazily pushing her hair back.

"I thought you were going to sleep forever. Checked your pulse at one point, thought you'd died."

"Shut up." She chuckles under her breath. Something about her sleeping so heavily and him being concerned is amusing now more than ever.

While his back is turned he catches the faintest sound. "Was that a yawn?"

"...No."

"Did you just yawn? After sleeping for nearly thirteen hours?"

"Leave me alone." She lays down again, curling up with the sheets enveloping her up to her chin. It's impossible to leave. Even when her stomach growls because she hasn't eaten yet.

"Wondered where you were." Kaden smiles upon entering the room.

"Take her please."

"Comfy," she mutters into the pillow.

"Comfy enough to kick me during the night."

"I was chasing Bunny in my dreams."

"Be thankful she didn't punch you." Kaden kicks off his boots, smiling appreciatively when she pulls the covers back to invite him in. Kisses are peppered along her arm, shoulder and face.
