Index finger pointing up at the baby blue sky, the teenager gasps with excitement. "That one looks like a love heart. No wait, now it looks like a fish. Oh look over there, there's a bigger one next to it!"

"I see a dog." Sierra points in another direction. "See? Those are the ears. There's the mouth. Kinda like Bunny."

"I see it too." She beams brightly. "Oh, a flower. Woah that one looks like a dragon."

"That's definitely just a lizard. Look at it."

"No way I see a dragon. Breathing fire."

Grayson silently stands beside the round couch, hands on his hips as he squints upwards. "They actually look like clouds. Because, wait for it, they're clouds."

"Don't ruin our game." Hope frowns.

"But ruining your game is fun for me."

"Away." Hope bats her hand through the air, ushering him elsewhere. "You're like a vacuum for other people's happiness."

Sierra chuckles at the somewhat truthful comment. She's stretched across the outdoor sofa beside the teen, an arm around her shoulders while the girl returns her head to her mother's chest.

Much like yesterday, the sun is gleaming and shedding its scorching rays over the city. The blazing heat leaving tan lines from where their bikinis are strapped around their bodies.

"That looks like an ice cream," Hope continues.

"I don't see it."

"Morning angel." Kaden leans down to kiss Sierra's forehead. "Morning baby." He then kisses Hope's forehead.

"Dad! What does that cloud up there look like? An ice cream right?"

"Hmm." Hands find his hips. A meticulous observation of the fluffy white clouds travelling through the clear sky. "It looks like... me shooting a guy in the head." He smiles proudly at his contribution to the discussion.

"I should've seen that coming."

"You really should've." Sierra chuckles.

"Heads up." Kaden runs ahead and effortlessly flips into the pool, splashing their legs with lukewarm droplets.

While he surfaces, Grayson climbs out and stands near to the circular couch, vigorously shaking his head side to side and flinging more droplets at the couple.

"Hey." Hope curls into her mother more. "I'll get you back."

"Sure." His tone oozes with disbelief. He stands on the edge before flipping backwards and splashing into the deep end.

An encouraging pat on the back from her mother spurs her on once she's sitting upright. Placing her sunglasses to one side, Hope springs to her feet to race over, diving into the water with her knees pulled to her chest.

Grayson merely scrunches his nose from the ripples. She swims to the surface with a giggle, scraping her hair away from her face. A squeal escapes her when he suddenly lifts her up to playfully throw her.
