Hazel eyes fixate on the man within arms reach. He shrugs a jacket on and pushes his phone into his pocket, already smirking before he turns around.
He knows when she's watching; he knows when her spotlight is shining down on him. His point is proven when he faces the blonde to find her gawking, head resting in her hands and bottom lip trapped between her teeth.
"How you doin'?" he muses.
"Good," she purrs. "Handsome."
There's a hint of pink in his cheeks when he leans down for a kiss. "I'm heading out. See if I can find anything on these guys. I don't like that they're practically ghosts."
"Can't you put more men on it?"
"They haven't found anything yet." He pats his pockets, smiling in awe when Sierra holds up his keys. Upon taking them he pulls her closer. "There's been movement in the city during the night and it wasn't us. I need to check it out."
"Okay," she murmurs with evident sadness.
"Stop worrying." He kisses every single frown line from her face, only pulling away once she's chuckling. "I'll be careful, I promise."
"They won't."
"I'm just going to find out who's in our city. I don't feel like getting injured today."
"You're not funny." She retracts her arms from around his neck. "Don't dismiss my fears that I have for very good reasons."
Grayson strolls through the door, stretching his arms with a low groan. "Hope did not shut up the entire way to the studio. Something about a routine. A new one?"
"You secretly listen." Kaden smiles.
"She grabs my face if I don't."
Sierra opens his hand and places her gun into it. His brows furrow as she curls his fingers around the weapon, sliding her other hand over his chest to feel his heart. Steady beats. Everything is normal as it should be.
He cradles the side of her head. "I'll see you later."
The two kisses to the top of her head somewhat ease her nerves. She folds her arms over her chest while he strides to the door. On the way he shares a look with his brother, one that exchanges silent words. Grayson nods.
Sierra continues to gaze worriedly at the door. "I have a bad feeling."
Grayson flits between the door and her. "He'll have backup if he needs it." He doesn't.
"What if it's not enough?"

Grayson rests an arm on the roof of his car while he listens. "Obviously," he answers with a faint scowl. "I'm not an idiot you know?"
Sierra beams subconsciously as she listens to them bicker over the phone. The setting sun is magnificent tonight. Cotton candy pink stretched through purple and bright orange. She could admire it for eternity.
