Explosions. Ceaseless gunfire. Petrified screams carry through thick smoke, wounded civilians fleeing from the streets ravaged by insatiable flames. Burnt orange skies stretch as far as glassy eyes can see.

Numerous aircrafts soar overhead while motorbikes and armoured trucks speed through the deserted roads below.

Weapons spit bullets at those who don't belong in the city. Blood sprays through the smog as the prey fall one by one, dozen by dozen.

Sierra observes the chaos unfolding below. In this very spot, she's too high up to hear the terrified, desperate screams of the innocent.

Even if she could hear the pleas for help, the prayers for the violence to end, she wouldn't feel remorse. Not a drop in her veins that have hardened with desire for retribution.

She peers over her shoulder. Grayson and Hope are by his bedside where all three of them are sleeping. He seems so innocent like this. Like he wasn't built for war. Like he hasn't ruled over this city with an iron fist or lost count of how many lives he's taken.

Perhaps now this will make her and him even. For now, he's blissfully unaware of the war sweeping across the city.

It's a shame. It used to be so beautiful before the parasites invaded.

Lorelei is at a standstill before the glass doors to the balcony. She fumbles with the necklace Tyler gifted her long ago. Every nearby explosion rattles the entire complex, chandeliers twinkling and objects toppling from shelves.

"Move out," Harrison orders.

Lorelei rushes across the space to catch Tyler's hand, pulling him back for a lingering kiss. "Be careful," she murmurs against him. He leans down for another kiss.

A new group of armed men march out of the elevator and take their positions around the penthouse. The others step inside and stand tall, waiting for Tyler to get in last.

He gazes longingly at his love. Brows furrowed at the roaring orange flickering behind her.

Hayley's hand shoots out to grab Preston's. They squeeze each other as they listen to the havoc outside. On cue the crew inside the house rotate, abandoning their posts and taking new ones.

When gunshots echo just down the street, Hayley leans into her husband. He embraces her in his arms and holds onto her tight.

A sudden blast startles Rosa. She jumps up from the sofa and runs into her mother's arms, gripping her until her knuckles are pale.

Static fills the house before the radios bleep. "Targets on the move. Heading your way Caleb."

"Copy."

Diego grabs his gun from the coffee table and stands with the women, protectively blocking them from the shielded windows. Bunny sits behind his legs with curiosity sparkling in his eyes.
