Poking her head around the open door, Sierra finds the man she's looking for leant against the headboard, with the bedside lamp burning eagerly to guide his eyes.

"Hey. You busy?"

"Hold on." Grayson takes a brief moment to reach the end of the page before snapping the book shut and placing it on the bedside table. A simple action which she takes as a sign to enter his room.

"Can I ask for your opinion on something? It's just some stuff I've been writing. I wanna hear your thoughts." She sits on the edge by his legs and holds out the iPad.

"Just my opinion?" he teases and takes it into his hands, beginning to read through the drafts. Should take no time, he's a quick reader.

"Careful, your ego is getting too big."

He lightly scoffs and she twists her mouth side to side, gazing intently as he scrolls down the pages.

"Stop staring."

"I'm trying to read your mind since I can't always read your face."

"Read this." He holds up his middle finger, still reading one of the paragraphs. She playfully frowns and covers it with her hand. "This is terrible," he reveals after a beat of silence.

"What?"

"Nah, this needs changing."

Her nerves hit the roof when he begins to tap and type, tweaking parts as he pleases. "No what are youー I didn't say you could do that."

"Do you trust me?"

She flickers between him and the iPad. "Fine but I'm keeping an eye on you." She huffs and moves to sit beside him, her shoulder brushing against his when she leans in to watch closely. "Not like that." She then adds when he cocks a brow.

"See?" he murmurs after a few more minutes of silence. "Lookin' better already." She pores over the edits he's made with a scrutinising face. "You agree you just don't wanna admit it."

"I'd be admitting a lie," she grumbles and folds her arms.

"You asked for my opinion, I gave it did I not?"

"Could've been a little less harsh."

"Where's the fun in that?"

"You don't hurt my feelings."

"Hush, princess, I'm making this into a masterpiece."

Rolling her eyes at his boasts, she slumps down a little to make herself more comfortable, dropping a head on his shoulder to continue observing. It takes all of her willpower to keep her lips sealed while he deletes and replaces parts of her work.

"Yo." Kaden nods and rests his shoulder against the doorframe.

Grayson echoes the greeting as he continues with the second braid. Sierra smiling at herself in the mirror while he stands behind her. She can't deny that she feels pretty. It's refreshing to hear her own mind speak that word again.
