"Oh!" Cristel screamed, falling to the floor. "Did you find her?" She asked.
"No, I have not." Oglm helped Cristel up off of the floor. "I have no idea where she could be, I check everywhere." Cristel held herself.
"What if we can't find her? What if she's really gone this time..."
"Don't say that, we'll find her. I mean I could always tell the council, they could send out the best search parties all across the underground."
"No! Not yet, anyway. I already have my best men on the job. Maybe they need more time."
"How much more time can you give them? It's already been a week and a half, for all we know she could be gone for years." Cristel turned away from Oglm.
"I'll think of something, I always do." She paused. "We just need to find her."
"Find who?" Leo asked, coming up from behind them.
"Were you not informed?"
"About what?" Cristel turned to him.
"Amilia has gone missing, Unora took her away." Leo's eyes widened.
"What!? When was someone going to tell me?"
"Haven't you noticed a change in your responsibilities?"
"Huh, no, I just got back from a council issued mission."
"Oh," Cristel said looking to the ground. Then she hesitantly laughed. "Well, your now the prince until Amilia gets back."
"Nope!" Leo said turning around. "This all gonna end, I'm going to go find her and drag her ass back here."
"Leovan!" Cristel yelled down the hall. "Leovan come back!"
"I don't think he's coming back, Cristel."
"Can't you go get him? He needs to proceed in Amilia's absence, all of her meetings and appearances are up to him now. He's the official prince of Catalin."
"Oh I don't know Cristel, once he sets his mind-"
"Please Oglm?" She said, grabbing his arm. Oglm blushed and then took his arm from her grasp.
"You should know better." He said to her, looking away.
"Maybe I don't." Cristel said, getting closer to him.
"Cristel." Oglm said, taking her hand from his shoulder. "Just because your husband is away, doesn't mean you can fancy me. Our time together has passed, you must know that."
"And what if he doesn't come back, what then?"
"I will not be your king." He paused. "Perhaps it is time for you to meet my girlfriend."
"So you do have one then."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I had heard rumors ever since I had gotten back about you dating a very nice pure Quesskf girl. Mm, by the name of Seyoek?"
"Then why in the world-"
"It's no secret Oglm." She said stepping back. "If I never would have met Yxeyhfkx, I probably would have ended up with you, just like my father wanted." She laughed. "And well," She started. "If this all doesn't work out and we lose him-" She stopped a moment. "I don't want to be alone by myself. I'll need help to get back out there, don't you know." She smiled at him. "Now go on, go try and fetch me my son."
"Yes, mam'." Oglm said. He turned around to leave, but then he stopped a moment. "If it doesn't work out- for you and me, which is a long shot, knowing your husband and my girlfriend, I am more than happy to try again." He stopped to look over his shoulder at her, then he left. After he did Cristel couldn't contain herself. She started to walk down the hallway and broke into laughter. It was true though, she still did admire him like she had all those years ago. To tell you the truth- he and Cristel dated at one point. Cristel's father was actually Oglm's master. His master always said that Oglm was by far his best student, and well, they were around the same age too, with Oglm only being two years older. Cristel would always mess around when Oglm was over, trying to impress him, something wicked. And half the time he wouldn't even notice, and sometimes he had to look over her and clean her messes. She had always admired him, from the moment her father started talking about him to the moment they broke up. They dated for many years, and everyone thought Oglm would propose, but he actually broke up with her, with no true reason. At least to anyone's knowledge. That last year Cristel had met Yxeyhfkx and they had gotten significantly close, but of course, they were just 'friends'. Everytime Yxeyhfkx met with Cristel he brought her her favorite flower, and a glass of the finest wine. He always was trying to impress her, with his good ol' elaborate schemes. So, I suppose one day Oglm finally decided she was better off with him. I guess he really did play matchmaker there, and, of course it turned out alright. Anyhow, she skipped down the hallway in her happy state and went off to the throne room. She hadn't changed out of her rags quite yet. Ever since they crowned her, she has refused to let go of her civilian clothes. They want her to change into the fancy dresses that she was widely known for across the kingdom. Her people didn't understand why she wore what she wore, she had never had a problem before, so they saw it as odd. But, as always, it was symbolic. Once she took it off she won't know anything anymore. It's the only tie she has to Yxeyhfkx or Amilia for that matter. She wanted to find them, more than anything. She didn't want to remove something that was so close to them- what was connected to them. She hugged them, and loved them in these clothes, and when she goes to remove them it breaks her heart. Because, in all truth, that means they're truly gone- at least in her eyes, anyway. She got up from the throne and walked down endless hallways. Until finally she reached the sleeping quarters, she walked into a room and sat down on the bed. She felt the sheets, back and forth her hand went. She was in Amilia's room, just thinking, looking out the big glass window with the dark hot pink drapes, Amilia's favorite color, of course. She stayed in there for quite a bit, that is until Oglm came back. He dragged Leo into the room by his ear and sort of chucked him to the floor.
"There you are, I brought you your son, just like you asked." Oglm stopped and pointed to her. "You're lucky," he started. "He was difficult." Oglm turned around, shut the door and left.
"You can't leave like that Leovan. You must stay."
"Ugh." he groaned. "I don't want to be prince again." He paused. "It was hard enough the first time."
"I know, but you have to. You know that."
"I know."
"Come now, it will be fun. Wasn't it fun the first time?"
"Heavens no! All that work, no time to play or have fun."
"Mm, I don't know about that, sweetheart."
"What do you mean?"
She laughed, "You don't have Nsefen to watch over."
"Oh god," he said. "That's right."
