Cam appeared the next morning and started to kick in all the doors. She came to Amilia's room and used her foot to kick in the door. Amilia jumped up and out of her bed, in her pajamas.
"Let's go!" Cam screamed, turning around. "Let's go!" Amilia shook her head and came out of her tisy. She quickly got dressed and ran down the hall, trying to catch up to her, eventually she did.
"What the heck is going on Cam?" Cam just looked at her with an intense stare. Then she grabbed Amilia's arm and started to drag her along. Cam dragged her through the many hallways and into a room. At which point she let go of Amilia. All of the required people were in the room. Jasvinder, Leo, and Elsie. There of course was Cristel, being the mother and all. Amilia looked around in confusion, though I like to think she knew what was going on. "Sooo..." Amilia started.
"I have cracked her code. The spell was a complicated immortality spell, created by the immortals themselves. So, therefore, I can switch you all back to your proper identities." She looked around the room. "Do you guys have anything to say to each other before I go ahead and do anything?" Jasvinder and Elsie shook their heads no.
"Nope!" Amilia and Leo said together, blushing.
"Alright." Cam skimmed the page with her finger and then she put her hand into the air. Her eyes glowed and a light appeared around her hand. She pointed to the different people, Amilia being first. Her eyes glowed, unlike what you would think from the first time. Though every witches' magic is different. And finally at last, with a finishing incantation, everything was set back to the way it should be. Amilia looked to Leo and blushed. Then she looked around the room.
"We never speak of this again." Everyone shook their heads in agreement.
"No promises." Cam said off to the side. "How do we all feel?"
"Normal." Amilia seemed to say.
"I know this is a touchy moment for all of you but," Cristel started to say. "I wanted to say something to you." she said pointing to Cam. Cam turned around and looked at Cristel.
"How may I be of service, your majesty."
"I can tell you have done this before." Cam looked at her confused. "You have served a ruler once before." Cristel paused. "I would like to appoint you as my royal witch." Cam looked to Cristel in shock.
"Well, that was out of the blue." Cam made direct eye contact with Cristel. "I don't know, let me think about it."
"Oh, of course. Um, know that you will be given a room in the castle, a workshop, and you may take on an apprentice at any point you feel necessary. I assure you that you will be well taken care of, you will be fed, have clothes for everyday, clean sheets, anything you could ever want at no charge to you." Cam shook her head.
"Congrats." Amilia said, bowing to her. Then the four of them left the room. Immediately Elsie and Leo embraced each other outside of the door. Amilia and Jasvinder seemed to walk for a little bit on opposite sides of the hallway. They stopped no ware particular and turned to one another. He walked forward, nearly reaching out for her. Amilia ran into his arms, she gave him a big tight hug, she was crying. "You don't know how much I've missed you. I haven't been so happy."
"I missed you too." But Jasvinder couldn't just pretend like what happened didn' happen. He was thinking about their relationship and what was going to happen, maybe she had feelings for Leo now, maybe it was over. "Are you and Leo-"
"Oh, no, God no!" She said letting him go. "You know I love you."
"Yeah, I, I know."
"What's wrong?"
"You were so happy with him."
"Yeah, but only because a mad witch brainwashed me." Jasinder rubbed her arms.
"Yeah, but your relationship could have been more modest, don't you still have feelings for him?" Amilia backed away and looked from him to the floor, from him, to the floor. She struggled to speak.
"I- I can't say I don't, but I can't say I do. I love you, I- I- I don't love him, not like I love you. You are my Jasvinder, and well, he's just filthy Leo." Jasvinder shook his head. "Yeah, I suppose so. Well" Jasvinder started. "I better go ahead and take a shower and do homework. Cam dragged me down here before I could properly do anything."
"Oh, oh yes! Of course, you go right ahead."
"Alright." He said nodding his head Jasvinder left after that and didn't come back at any point in the day. Which was kind of awful on Amilia's part, since she had to be the princess and all, with Leo. Dinner scrolled around, and it was quite quiet. They mostly sat there in silence, well, except for the usually clanging of knives on plates and things like that. But there was no overall conversation. Later that night Amilia and Leo ran into each other in the hallway. They both stopped and looked at each other.
"So." Leo started. "I take it your day went about as smooth as mine." Amilia nodded.
"How's Elsie? Is she back to normal?"
"Oh yeah, she is. She didn't stay too long though, she was meeting friends at the mall." There was silence for a while while they tried to not make eye contact. Eventually they started to look at each other again. "So, you don't want to be more than friends do you?"
"No, heavens no! You, you are a bluffering, blundering, buffon." Leo shook his head. "She had that talk with you too?"
"Yeah, but you know, you don't make me happy in the way she makes me happy. It's two completely different things."
"Yeah, that's what I told him too." They started to walk down the hall together.
"So, you want to be friends?" Amilia looked at him a weird way and then stopped. She laughed and then continued to walk. She shook her head, and extended her hand to the side. Leo grabbed it and they shook hands,
"Yeah, friends."
