"Had a tough day?"
"Why do you want to know! You don't need to know!" Unora took a step back.
"Now, now, calm down everything will be alright."
"It will be when we're done with this, this junk! Your stupid training is interfering with my life, my life!" Unora came over to Amilia and rubbed her shoulders.
"Calm down, calm down, it is alright."
"I- no its, not-." Amilia fell into Unora's hands and Unora propped her body up on a chair. It was hard since Amilia was asleep (in a way).
"Let's fix you up." Unora said with a smile. She waved her hands in an odd way. She sprinkled something on her head too. When she snapped her fingers Amilia woke up in a rush. Unora has controlled her in the past, with the most that was thrown in her face, but this time Amilia was totally subsided to Unora. She was completely obedient in the way Unora wished her to be. This made Unora happy. Amilia was not "awake" when this happened, technically saying, she was asleep. Amilia would do things that she couldn't recall to, to say the least.
"How are you today darling?" Unora asked her.
"Magnificent mother." Amilia said back looking into her eyes with a smile.
"Come here, come here." Amilia got up from the chair and ran over to the side of Unora and walked with her. Unora hugged Amilia and Amilia hugged back happily.
"What's wrong, you came in upset sweetheart."
"My friend thinks I'm crazy."
"Hm? And why would she think that?"
"I haven't talked to her in a while and now that she's down for a few days, I suspected her of being you. She seemed too friendly and when I interrogated her, she felt uneasy. So we didn't hang out that evening."
"I see. I'll solve this for you, now go on out, I'll see you on Monday." Amilia did as she was told. When Unora could feel that she was into the Market she snapped her fingers again. Amilia stopped a moment before she continued walking.
"What are you doing all the way out here?" She heard a voice off to her side say.
"Nothing." The person startled Amilia.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"You know, I haven't seen Nim in a while, where is she?"
"None of your business, Akxfo."
"I make it my business." Amilia started to laugh.
"What are you doing nowadays? You're wearing one of those horrid aprons."
"The council reassigned me. I'm working with a gem colony just out the Market."
"Really, and they're just allowed to reassign you? What about your mark"
"You think they care? Ha! You're an old timer, just like your dad. They don't do that anymore. That's how you start out, but if you don't like it or if you're bad at it, they'll reassign you. They thought working at a gem factory would be safer. It'd be a challenge for me and safer for imps like you."
"Wow. And you just, just, went with it."
"I can't be out of a job. I have to eat, pay for my house, and take care of my pet. I can't afford to say 'I hate this' and leave."
"I mean, you could get a human job, up top."
"No. There's no way I'm going to get a job 'up top'."
"Alright, but that is another way to make money. You could live up there and forget all about the Market. You'd be good as a security guard or a police officer."
"Not happening."
"Alright."
"What are you doing down here anyway, it's Friday night. I thought you had Friday's off."
"I do, but that doesn't mean I can't just come down here, right?"
"Suppose that's correct. Just be careful you imph. You could get into a lot of trouble, very, very, easily." He started to walk off.
"Akxfo." She said reaching out her hand to stop him. "You should come into town more often, I like seeing you." Akxfo chuckled.
"I'll do my best Miss. Amilia."
