The next day, safe to say, was a complete disaster. Amilia and Leo got dressed like they normal did, but this time they met each other and had breakfast together. They actually sat next to each other, talking and laughing, like the good old days. After breakfast they held hands as they left that morning for school. Cristel smiled, as she saw them off like she normally did. As they walked the streets to the school they laughed and carried on the whole way. They didn't meet up with the twins that morning, they didn't even think to wait. When they got there they walked around the campus together. They never had seen each other's schedules before so they did that together. Amilia poked fun at Leo's teachers whereas Leo just laughed at some of hers. After they were done they still had a decent amount of time left before school even started. They decided to go outside and to the back of the school where all the sports and stuff took place. There was a little plot of land on the grounds that looked like a park, with trees, flowers, benches, all that jazz. They sat under a blossoming peach tree and just talked. Amilia cuddled up close to him and he pulled her closer with his arm around her. She smiled as she looked at him and he smiled as he looked to her. They laughed together and then Leo checked the time.
"Well, it's about that time." He said getting up. He extended his hand out to her, which she grabbed. He helped her up and then walked her to class. They waved goodbye to each other at the door, all the while Mr. Beath was watching. He eyed her as she took her seat. After Amilia got settled and the first bell rang, Elsie ran into the classroom as it was her first period too. There was no assigned seating unless you happened to be one of the lucky ones who were disobedient in his class. So Elsie never sat in one place too many times. Amilia remembered that for a whole month Elsie kept sitting where Amilia wanted to sit. It wasn't the same chair everyday, and Elsie knew that. It was the month that Amilia was nearly late everyday to class. Her buffer month, from adjusting her times from Oglm's house to the castle in Cataline. Today she wasn't late even though the bell had rang, the first bell was just a warning sign, it was the second one you needed to look out for.
"Amilia!" Elsie said slamming her hands down on her desk. Amilia was scared to death so much so that she started to shake. Elsie finally took her gaze up from the desk and met Amilia's eyes. "Do you want to go rollerblading with me tonight?"
"Rollerblading?" Amilia said putting her arms back onto her desk.
Elsie nodded her head. "Oh, well you see..." Amilia paused stumbling. "Me and Leo sort of made plans tonight, over in Cataline-"
"Yes, yes, I assumed you would! That's why I took a looksie around town and found a rollerblading spot!"
"Yeah, but we were kinda hoping to have the night to ourselves, you know..."
"Yes, I predicted that would happen. So as I hear it, you two are going to explore the town, since you haven't seen much of it yet. So along the way, well, you can stumble into the rink and go a few rounds, you two could kick off your night that way."
"Oh, well I never thought of it that way."
"So, is that a yes?"
"Uh-"
"Good! I'll see you there then!" Elsie began to walk away to whatever seat she was going to grab that day.
"Wait! Elsie! Wher-"
"There's no yelling in my classroom Miss. Cripple." With that the second bell rang, Mr. Beath tapped his batton to the whiteboard and had the class settle down. Amilia opened her book and gave Elsie a nasty look. The rest of school went well, as it always did. With her friends poking fun at her and the teachers giving her weird glances at times. As soon as amilia left the school with Leo, her phone buzzed. It was Elsie giving her a time and place to meet her.
