Amilia paced around her room as she thought. It was late Friday night, after Oglm had closed up shop. But sadly, he was still at the council meeting. She had the nice dinner with her mother and tried to come up with some outstanding ideas. They didn't have any though Amilia looked all night for him. She couldn't think of where he might have gone off to. She sat down on her bed as it ticked eleven. She decided to go to sleep for the night. The next day she woke up and Oglm was already gone. But when she went to the shop it was all closed up. She didn't get any keys from Oglm or anything. He had always been there and when she arrived he scurried off to the council building. She walked around and one of the back doors was open. It led into his private office. There was a note on the desk for her. She set the note down after reading it and headed off to the council building. He asked her to be there. For what reason she didn't know. All she did understand was that she didn't want to deal with the council at the moment. When she arrived she went in and started looking for Oglm. He wasn't very specific, all he said was to come and find him or Jkdek. Which was alright by her, but it did complicate things. Finally she spotted Jkdek, at which point, he spotted her too. He ran over to her immediately.

"You must come with me." He said grabbing her by the arm. Jkdek started dragging her along. "Woah, what's going on?"

"There's an important meeting that you have to be at."

"Am I late?"

"No, but you're going to be."

"Then shouldn't you be dragging me that way?" She said pointing.

"Afraid not, you have to get dressed. You are of age now and that means when you are at official council hearings that you must be dressed accordingly."

"Oh. Ok." He took her into a room and handed her a hanger with clothes on it.

"Put these on and go out that door when you are done." Jkdek walked out the door and left Amilia alone to change. She changed into the oh so nice uniform she was given, grabbed the handle of the door and walked through. She looked around the hallway she was walking through as her cloak hit her legs. When she walked into the room she looked around at all the different faces. They weren't recognizable to her, there was no elf prince, or tanuki, just a bunch of new faces. There was a boy who looked human, a girl who looked human, a purple girl with scales, a female meta-marked and something Amilia couldn't really describe. They were all wearing fancy clothes like her. Jkdek motioned her over to him.

"You stand here." Amilia was at the head of the table. Then Jkdek took to the floor. "Thank you all for joining me here tonight. I have spoken with each of your kingdoms and they have so graciously agreed to issue this private council and I am proud to say that the mer-people and dragon people have joined our alliance. I am still working with their majesties of the lunarist people. But they have agreed for you to be on this council." He said pointing. "You have all met each other at one point or another, but I would like to introduce you all to Amilia. She has the mark of Hzgokd. As such she will be gaining your trust as she leads this council under the guide ce of the high council." He looked to Amilia who was hesitantly smiling. "If you could please go around and introduce yourselves, I would greatly appreciate it." One at a time they went around the table saying their names.

"Dedg (de-deg)."

"Hmeoynfedk (hem-eo-yin-fed-k), but please call me Hmeo (hm-eo)."

"Amilia, my Catonin name is Nsefen."

"Feww with two w's (feu)."

"Jlssiek (jl-s-e-ek)."

"Qeqqkm (que-cek-kem)."

"I am Jkdek, as most of you know. I don't have anything particularly scheduled for today's meeting. I was hoping you all could have a chance to get to know each other before you work together on different assignments. I know you have each met, at least once, but you haven't seen each other in quite some time. Get to know each other. This meeting is scheduled for two hours, so there should be quite a topic you should talk about. Now I will not be in the room, neither will anyone else, but you five. So enjoy your time together." Jkdek left the room to leave them alone. Amilia was at the head of the table and was always going to be. They all stared at each other for a while since they didn't know what to talk about. Then finally Amilia spoke.

"So, uh, how are your days going?" Amilia said, shrugging. They looked at each other.

"Fine." Dedg spoke. "Is it true that your mark is chosen."

"Uh, yes. What are your guys' marks?"

"Mine is dnskb." Dege said.

" I have oqkhenf." Feww said.

"Mine is kuhfloetk." Hmeo stated

"Okfkhykb." Jlissiek mentioned.

"I was named vgmkokkd." Qeqqkm said. They went on and off for the two hours. Sometimes talking, sometimes silence. There wasn't much to talk about, so most of the time was spent sitting. Finally Jkdek came back in and dismissed the group. He took Amilia with him as he went through the halls.

"Hey." Amilia said.

"Yes?" Jkdek responded.

"If everyone in that group has a mark similar to mine then what does that make me? Aren't I just as important as they are."

"Well, no. You may have a similar mark, but you were the only one prophesied all over the different kingdoms. Their marks were not written down or told about. On the other hand it was told that the one with the chosen mark was meant for something big, for what, we don't know. That's half the reason you're on this council. Because we have no clue what you're destined for."

"I see." Amilia walked with him for a while at least until it was late at night. By that time she plopped into bed and fell asleep.
