Amilia and Jasvinder waltzed as they rehearsed for the masquerade ball. They tripped over each other, but each time caught each other. They laughed and giggled as they tried to dance with each other, but Cristel yelled and hollered, so they stopped kidding around and got down to business. They weren't completely successful, but whoever is. They took a break and had themselves a nice little reception. Everyone changed out of their fake gowns so they didn't get them messy, and chatted as they pleased. Cristel came over and grabbed Amilia up in a hug.
"You see what you can do when you put your mind to it?"
Amilia laughed, "Yeah, I guess so, but it's more fun to just mess around."
Cristel laughed after her, "Well let's see how much fun you have with your father, he's next." She smirked.
"I think we are more than capable of having fun together, don't you, mom?" Cristel put her hand to Amilia's cheek.
"Of course, dear." Cristel walked off and went back to Yxeyhzfkx. That's when Nora came over and handed her a drink. Jasvinder took Nora's hand and lifted it up.
"Nice to see you as always, madam witch."
"Mm, a change of heart young squire?"
"Well, I figured that if Amilia is spending so much time with you I mide as well support her wanting to learn magic. But, in saying that,"
"Oh boy."
"You work her hard, I mean, everyday? For like four or more hours, she needs to have some downtime, you know, to recover."
"Nothing ever comes easy, Mr. Huff, the best way to learn is to train everyday."
Jasvinder laughed, "Yeah, but is it worth it?"
"Will you get on out of here, good sir? Let me talk to my apprentice in peace, will you."
"Fine, but I want her back." Jasvinder stepped infront of Amilia. "I have plans for tonight." He walked off and talked to his sister, while Amilia was stuck with Unora.
"Well, your man has certainly changed."
"I love my man for your information."
"Oh, I know that, you clearly denied the perfect vision of a man."
"Your little novice is nothing compared to my Jasvinder."
"I suppose not, but I wanted to speak to you about another matter..."
"No I, not dancing with you at the ball. I would like to forget about you for a night if you don't mind."
Unora laughed, "Touchay, my dear, but no, that's not what we must talk about."
"Then what is it?"
"Oh, sweetheart, not here." Unora looked around the room, "Come." Amilia rolled her eyes and then followed Unora out of the room.
"What is it?"
"You have become exceedingly more powerful than our previous meetings. I have begun to wonder if Terraformic magic is even worth your while anymore."
"So what, you want to stop teaching me magic?"
"No, I might suggest moving you along to a different type of magic, one more suited to your fancy."
"Really, and what would that be?"
"Royal magic."
"Isn't that what I'm learning?"
"No, I was going to wait a bit longer, until you manifested enough to actually try a royal level spell. But I don't think beginner is even necessary."
"Really, how progressed do you think I am?"
"Academia level, I'd say about middle school."
"What?"
"What happened to you? Why are you so powerful now, just a few weeks ago you struggled on a flare spell, and now you can cause explosions at a wave of your hand. What the heck did you do?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing? I call your bluff, out with it, before I put you in a trance and force it out of you."
"Please, can we not think about this today, it's hard enough that I have to learn to dance today, I don't want to worry about this too."
"Yes, but, are you going to tell me if I let you loose?"
"I suppose I'll have to won't I?" Unora grabbed her by the shoulder and suddenly all Amilia could see was her in her armor. Just then Oglm rammed into her, late to the party as usual.
"Amilia, Nora? Don't tell me you're trying to steal her away from rehearsal, now."
"Oh, no, of course not. I'd never dream of it. We were just having a quick chat." Unora put her hand onto Amilia's shoulder and then took it off as she walked back into the ballroom. Amilia watched a completely armor dressed Unora walk back into that room.
"Are you alright, Amilia?" Oglm asked her.
"Yeah, I'm just seeing things." Amilia looked to Oglm.
"Well, shall we join the rest."
"Considering you are fashionably late as always, yes, yes we should."
