Amilia stretched as she detested early Saturday mornings. She had a full plate on weekends and it started most of the time at seven. Not only did she have to work and then train, but she had to deal with Unora and her babbling as well. Unora trained her harder than anyone in the Market did. And since Cristell was worried for Amilia safety, she requested that instead of Akxfo training her that her father Yxeyhzfk did. Amilia only know, occasionally saw Akxfo. In the wings of the arena or around the Market, but that was it. Amilia didn't like that her parents did this, but she could not reason with the council. Of course Amilia never minded Akxfo, yes he was a harsh teacher, but it was a good thing, kept her out of her comfort zone and on her toes. Her mother did not approve of Akxfo, she knew this well. Amilia and Yxeyhzfk trained almost everyday. Whenever Amilia was free he would try and work with her. But he focused more on technique rather than fighting. Neither of which resonated with Amilia. She didn't like the stress and absent minded training sessions with Akxfo, but she didn't like structure class that were to a letter either. Yet, her father was still extremely patient with her. Sometimes they worked weeks on one single skill. They started simple, level one, even though he knows she's been trying for two years.
"Let's go again." He said. Amilia went into her stance and began.
Ferry, ferry, ferry, she thought, all it's been for the past week is ferry, ferry, ferry... Yxeyhzfk came up to her and moved her hand with the sword up a bit. He then pushed her front foot forward. He nodded his head and walked around her as she continued the move.
"Alright," Yxeyhzfk stated hitting his hands together, "that's enough for now." Amilia stopped and then looked to him.
"When are we going to move on?" She asked him.
"When you get it perfect then we can move on." He responded to her. "Now, run along." He shooed her away. Amilia walked out of the Arena. She walked around the Market a while and then reached the wall that led to Unora. Of course Amilia went through to her. Today Unora was all in a hustle running around her lair. Amilia walked in and watched the comical event for a while. Amilia had not a clue what was going on. Unora finally stopped and walked over to Amilia, she held a sword.
"I found it." She remarked, Unora held the sword out to Amilia. "This was the one I was talking about." Amilia was forced to take the word from Unora. "Let's begin." Unora turned around. "Thrust, swipe, stab, block." She exclaimed. "No, no, no, your thrust is all wrong. A thrust is not a stab." Unora demonstrated both techniques and then turned back to Amilia. After a few minutes Amilia got the hang of the sequence.
"Oh good, good! Soon we will be able to move on." Amilia stopped and looked at her.
"Are we done yet?" Amilia said sarcastically.
"Oh, you." Unora said waving her hands down. "You know we're not."
