Amilia blocked as Unora and her sparred as they typically did. Amilia easily flew her off of her sword. The amulet glowed and moved like normal and she was able to do more with it. Like summoning a shield and dawning a helmet. And if she lost her sword, she could call it back to her. Amilia attacked Unora and on her last hit, her arm glowed as well as her eyes, but it was different this time. It glowed green instead of orange, and it wasn't a pretty green by any means.
"What the-" Unora said, letting her guard down. She moved out of the way of Amilia's attack. "Enough!" She waved at her. Unora snapped her sword away and Amilia took off the armor and put the amulet around her neck. "Come," Unora said, motioning her on. Amilia followed her as she walked. Unora stopped and then grabbed a fiddle. She turned to Amilia and started to play it, in pianissimo as she spoke. "I bet you are wondering why I taught you how to play instruments and sing." She paused and all you could hear was the beautiful sound of the violin. "Music is an extension of magic. Even though you can't see it, there are spells attached to music." Unora kept playing, but this time something happened. The room seemed to light up a purple color when she played. The room was full of ambient music and beautiful colors. "Music is an expression of your inner magic and at the same time, you can control and bend it to your will. There are songs that are more powerful than others, songs that can kill or delight. Even to entrance people. Play a song in their head and you control them in a way where they are aware but willing to help you. And before you ask, no, I didn't stick a tune in your head, dearest."
"Why learn this?" Amilia asked, looking at her.
"Why? Why do anything?" Unora laughed. "This type of magic can be even more powerful than the one I am physically teaching you." Unora stopped playing and the room went back to normal. She handed the fiddle over to Amilia, who grabbed it. "Now, I want you to play for me."
"What song?"
"Oh, nevermind that. It doesn't matter right now. Just play anything." Amilia lifted up the violin and began to play. To no one's surprise it didn't do anything. "Now, now, don't be so stressed." Unora came up behind her and grabbed her arms. Unora moved them in a more fluid motion. "That's it, just relax and play. Don't think about the notes or what they could do. Just close your eyes and play." Amilia did what she said, as always, and finally something happened. Amilia opened her eyes to see the room glowing and everything floating, including herself and Unora. Unora laughed a happy laugh and then clapped her hands. "Very good." Amilia stuttered and then they fell to the ground. "I think that's enough for today." Unora took the fiddle and shoed her away, nearly asking her to leave her alone, which rarely happened. Amilia skiddadled of course, not wanting to stay any longer than she needed to. But as her typical day went, it was time for training once more. Yet, this time, it was with Akxfo. So she rushed off to the castle and out to the courtyard.
"Look who came on time. All dressed properly too. Welcome, your majesty." Akxfo said bowing to her. "Let's begin, shall we?" They had the courtyard all to themselves. No one was out there with them, which was odd since any of the staff could use it at any time. They did techniques that Amilia knew already, but no one else knew she could. Amilia easily succeeded and they moved on. Amilia easily blocked him and attacked him, eventually yawning as she practiced a move for the hundredth time. "I'm sorry, am I boring you?"
"No, no, of course not."
"Sarcasm gets you nowhere."
"I'm sorry, I've- uh,"
"You, uh?"
"Need more stimulation. I've been wanting a more difficult task."
"So you're not challenged enough?"
"I don't know Akxfo."
"How about we spar then. Show me what you have learned, huh? Is that a challenge suitable of your thirst?"
"Ok, fine, geese." They both walked away from each other and put their weapons away. Both of their hilts went onto their belts. They turned around and then Amilia heard Akxfo scream. They both turned around and jumped into action. Weapons drawn and fighting all the way. But this time Amilia slipped up, she won. Akxfo looked at her surprised and then Amilia instintaly let go and backed away.
"How did you-" Akxfo stopped and stood up.
"Uhm, luck. Uh, I got to go, I have to go meet Jaswinder, you know how it is."
Akxfo stood there and watched Amilia leave. As soon as she did he walked off himself. He went to his room which was currently in the castle. He packed around thinking about Amilia and then walked out of his room to find her father. Akxfo finally found him and Yxeyhzfkx quickly rushed over to him.
"What's the matter, oh God," He began, "Amilia's not hurt is she?" Yxeyhzfkx said, shaking him vigorously.
"No, no, of course not, your majesty." Yxeyhzfkx let him go.
"Then what is it?"
"I don't think I can teach her anymore."
"What are you talking about? You're more than qualified."
"She beat me, your majesty."
"She what?" Yxeyhzfkx looked at him, then laughed. "That's ridiculous she hasn't been studying with you for that long. There's no way she could have beat you."
"Well she did."
"And you're sure of this?"
"Positive, your majesty."
"I'll look into it."
