The next day Soka surprised Amilia again. She was waiting for her outside the school.
"Hey, how yu doing?"
"I'm good, you?" she inquired.
"Good."
"Do you know any witches?"
"Yeah."
"Y- y- you do?" she said on edge.
"Yup, my phone." she said as she whipped it out.  "Are you alright, you seem on edge."
"I'm fine." she said with her hand on Soka's shoulder.
"Come on, I can tell when you're hiding something."
"I, I-"
"Come on Ami! What are you, afraid."
"I'm afraid of my boss!" Amilia blurted out. "He's been all over the place lately with my schedule." Amilia covered her mouth with her hand and became red. What a relief! Unora isn't impersonating my friend!
"Ah, that sucks. Does that mean you can't hang out tonight?"
"I-" she stopped with a strained look on her face. "I can hang out for two hours." she said putting her hands on her hips.
"Cool, you want to go to the hotel and hang?"
"I... no, work is closer to my house, it'll be faster to get there." amilia didn't know where that statement came from. She was going to say yes, but apparently, she said no.
"Are you sure you're alright?"
"Completely fine!"
"Alright, well let's get back to your place then." they started walking from the front to Amilia's car. It only took a minute or two to get back to the house, as usual. This time Oglm was home. He was watching some TV in the living room with Zali.
"Oh, I didn't realize anyone was home." Amilia said scratching the back of her head.
"I didn't want to disturb you, Amilia. I know how busy your schedule has become and all."
"Thank you, Oglm." Amilia smiled hesitantly. Amilia stepped off to the side. "You remember Soka, right?"
"Oh, yes. Hello Miss. Wilson, how are you?" he asked standing up to greet her.
"I'm good, thank you."
"Why are you home?" Amilia asked Zali.
"I had a doctors appointment. And it was one of 'those' doctors appointments." she said with air quotes.
"How'd it go? Are you alright?"
"Yeah, it was just routine, you know, to check everything out. I'm perfectly healthy."
"That's good. Come on Soka, we can go up to my room." they both went up the stairs.
"Are you positive you're ok?"
"Oh come on, Soka, what are you, my boss?" Amilia hesitantly laughed.
"Well, no- I'm just-" she stopped a moment in the hallway. "I'm worried. You haven't ever acted like this. It feels like you're trying to hide something from me, and your family." They entered Amilia's room and Amilia sat down. "So are you really ok?"
"Yeah I am."
"Oh no she's not." They heard another voice.
"What the- show as that?!" Soka exclaimed.
"No one, it was no one."
"Then you heard it too?"
Nsefen laughed. "You both are crack heads."
"Soka, no! Don't take the cover off-" it was too late. Soka took off the cover from the mirror in front of Amilia's bed.
"Hello Amilia." Nsefen said waving from a chair. "How are you?"
"Fine." Amilia said shrugging away.
"Oh? I didn't think you were."
"Amilia who is this?" Soka asked on edge.
"That doesn't matter."
"Excuse me." Nsefen said offended. "The lady asked my name, aren't you going to tell her?"
"Who asked you!" Amilia said throwing a pillow at the mirror.
"I am here to help you, Amilia. I don't want to harm you."
"Then why don't you go away."
"Ah, the money making question." The room was silent. Soka looked at Amilia and then back to the mirror.
"Well?" Amilia asked.
"Well what?"
"You're not going to explain?"
"I suppose I should, but the explanation can wait, I mean if you're busy..."
"Mer, ah- just say what you're going to say!" Nsefen changed her position to lean forward. She also held her hands together in front of her chest.
"Nsefen," she said. "My name is Nsefen." The mirror went back to normal and Amilia laid flat out on her bed.
"I'm sorry about that, Soka. She usually doesn't bother me when people are in here with me."
"You know, Amilia."
"Hm?"
"I've got some homework to finish. Why don't you call me when your shift is over?"
"Wait, you don't want to stay?"
"I've got a lot of homework to do. Gosh I forgot about it, but give me a ring after you come home from work. Maybe we can do something then." With that Soka closed the door and went down the stairs. She also left the house and walked back to the school. Amilia came down the stairs a minute later.
"Amilia what's wrong?" Oglm asked her.
"What do you mean?"
"Soka's known you for ten years. She told me you're not acting right." Amilia didn't respond. "Amilia, I've seen a change too. Are you alright?"
"Gosh, just- just leave me alone."
"Where are you going?"
"To the Market!"
