Amilia woke up the next morning and grabbed her staff. She kept it in the corner of her room, he one on the opposite of her bed so she didn't accidentally hit it. Everytime she picked up her staff it glowed. That was something she wanted to ask Unora about. Every time she picked up her fathers staff, it didn't glow, yet her's does. She went down the stairs and into the living room.

"Ah, Amilia!" Oglm said, looking at her. "Nice to see you awake on this beautiful Saturday. Where are you going?"

"I- uh, got some training to do. You know Hix." Amilia smiled at him and then grabbed the handle to the door. Oglm reached out to her and then put his arm down.

"You can't stay, just for a little while? I thought we could eat breakfast and watch a movie. I know how busy you are nowadays, but it's still important to rest and have fun. I know he's your dad and all- but can't you take some time to spend with good ol' Oglm?" Amilia took her hand off of the door.

"I suppose I have a little bit of time." She turned around and came over to Oglm. He put his hands on her shoulders and then moved her body to the couch, where he pushed her down until she was sitting there.

"You wait here, I'll be right back." Oglm ran into the kitchen. Amilia turned her head to the side and then figured out where to put her staff down. The couch was tucked into a specific corner of the room. The couch sat beside the wall of Oglm's office but was a little ways away from the opening that you came through to be in the living room. "Here we are." Oglm said, laying out a restaurant helping of food out in front of her.

"Wow, this- this is a lot."

"Only the best." He said sitting next to her. "And what would you like to watch?" He turned on the TV.

"Ah, I don't know." Oglm clicked something on, and I guess it was alright because Amilia didn't say anything.

"So, what's that staff for?" Oglm said, looking at her from the corner of his eye.

"Huh? The- the staff?"

"Yeah, I mean I noticed you had one, there."

"Oh, well, it's for my studies, you know, with Nora."

"Studies with Nora? Did something happen?"

"Wha- oh yeah! Nora's a witch and she's teaching me magic."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Where does she hail from?"
"Catalie."

"Oh."

"What?"

"You should be very conscious around her. The Catalie witches were powerful beings. They could easily manipulate people, they topled many civilizations. Nora may not be who she says she is. I just-" He stopped. Amilia looked to him.

"What is it?"

"A while back, The Council waged war on Catalie. And well, they killed a lot of the people, they called their attack a screaming success. Yet they never found the body of the princess, Ophelia. If she's out there- or even still alive, well she is easily the most powerful witch of the present." He paused, "I supposed I'm trying to tell you, be careful. I want my little Amilia to come home to me."

Amilia laughed, "Of course." A little while later the movie ended and it was time for Amilia to leave.

"It was nice visiting with you." He said looking to her. He put his hand on her shoulder. "It really was." Amilia smiled and then turned around to go out the door. She left through the doorway and made her way to The Market. She didn't go to see her father like she had told Oglm, that would come later in the evening. She made her way over to Unora's lair and entered like she normally did. She didn't see Unora initially, so she went ahead and walked up the stairs. As she walked she hit her staff down on the steps. She got to the top and looked around, she still didn't see her.

"Do I hear clanging?" Unora said owing from the right side of the room. "You should be careful with your staff, you don't want the end to wear, you don't have a rubber stopper on the end of it."

"It really matters that much?"

"But of course it does, you will either constantly have to fix your staff or your staff will eventually and I mean eventually wear down to nothing but the jewel and the antigravity cases."

"I see."

"Now, to our lesson today. A simple spell today." She paused. "Light. White light." She walked over to Amilia and put her hand behind her back. Unora led Amilia into their usual training room. Unora put her hand up and soon enough her father's staff flew into her hand. "Now, take your usual stance." Unora took into a deep stance to where it wouldn't be easy to knock her down. Unora twirled the staff around in a fancy manner and let out a yell. "Bpnxi (Bip-nix-e)!" She cried. Out of her staff came a ball of white light. Unora stood up and then looked to Amilia. "Ready?"

"Uh, well, before we start- I have a question."

"Yes, what is it?"

"My staff glows when I touch it, like when I set it down and then pick it up, it glows."

"Oh that's normal."

"It is?"

"Yes, you are a naviance beginner, you don't yet know how to control or apply your magic just yet, so until that point and time your magic will be unfocused and quite dangerous, now anything else."

"No, ma'm."

"Alrighty then." She motioned her hand across the room. Amilia knelt down into her stance and said the word,

"Bpnxi." She said, a small flare of light came out of her staff and Amilia stood up.

"That's alright, no one starts out a pro." Unora walked over and put her hand on Amilia's shoulder. "Again."

"Bpnxi." Amilia repeated. It was about the same, still just a small flare of light. They practiced for hours until finally Amilia casted a decent light spell.

"Wait here a moment, darling." Amilia leaned on her staff as she promptly held it on the ground. After a few minutes Unora returned, she had something in her hands. "Wear this." She said putting the clothing around Amilia. The clothing was a type of shawl. It wasn't long like you would think, it was shorter and had two golden buttons attached by a golden string. The only thing that kept the clothing on her. "This is a wonderful type of clothings. It has the front viewed lavender petals of the Catalienen flag." Unora fixed the short shawl on Amilia.

"Is that all?"

"Whatever do you mean, sweetheart?"

"It's not to watch me, or control me or anything like that?"

"No, just a gift, after all this is about the first year we have been together."
