Amilia walked through the palace as she was running late for lunch. It was spring break, so she didn't have anything to worry about from school, her teachers were pretty nice about that. She had been at the palace most of the week, only partially staying with Oglm. Her duties as princess had really stacked up on her. Amilia rushed to the dining room, where everyone had already gathered. She ran in and sat down. Next thing she knew she felt a hand on her shoulder. She shook and then looked to her left.
"Oh! What a surprise! I didn't know you two would be here."
Jasvinder laughed, "Mide as well. I mean I have training after lunch and I'm always up to seeing my girlfriend." He gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"And I always enjoy your presence."
He laughed again, "You've been spending too much time around Nora. You're starting to sound like her."
"Oh my God." She laughed. "I didn't even realize." Jasvinder looked at her weird. "Well, you are right." Jasvinder shook his head and took a sip of his drink. Lunch was more than good, it was exquised as ever. It went by fast, as Amilia had fun laughing and talking with her friends and family. As always, though, everyone had to scurry off. Leo and Jasvinder ran off to the courtyard to train, Elsie headed off to work, her father went to the throne room and Cristel went to her study. Amilia herself was busy too, she needed to pick out some colors and attend some meetings. She even had a ribbon cutting ceremony she needed to attend. Amilia stayed in the dining room as she sampled colors. From there she went to the council building. First she attended her council's meeting and then went to the main council meeting after that. Each of them dragged on as always, the only exciting part was talking to Oglm. Amilia sighed as she left the meeting room. She took off her robe and made her way to the changing room. She switched her clothes and then walked back out. She had to hurry her way over to the new park, for she needed to cut the ribbon.
"Good people of Catalin." She began, "We are gathered here today to welcome a new area into our lives. Many of you around here have brought it to our attention that your children need a safe place to play after school. And that is why I give you this brand new, up to date, playground. Where your children will be able to play without the worry of being hurt, so long as you, the adults are close by. Today I give you the Underground playground!" Amilia grabbed the scissors and cut the ribbon. As soon as she did, kids and their parents rushed by her, excited to see and use the new playground. Amilia took some propaganda photos, her dad always liked to see them.
"Not staying your majesty? Surely you'd like to play a little bit."
Amilia laughed, "Although I would love to, I have too much work to get through. But thank you, mam'." Amilia shamed her hand and then waved goodbye. With that she started to walk off. She stopped when she saw a farmers market and took a look around.
"Welcome your majesty!" One of the farmers said to her.
"Hi there."
"Looking for anything particular, my princess?"
"Oh, no, just taking a look around." Just then an explosion went off. Amilia turned to where she felt and heard the blast. When she turned around she saw that the blast came from the palace. One of the towers was on fire. "No!" She whispered. Amilia ran off through the town, pushing and shoving to make her way to the palace. She finally made it and saw everyone running around in a panic, and just then two more explosions went off. One was at the palace, the other at the council hall. "Jkdek!" She screamed. Then she turned back to the palace. "Oh my God! Mom, dad, Jasvinder!" She ran into the palace looking around wherever she could. She ran around, calling for her parents and Jasvinder, she couldn't find them. One of the guards caught Amilia and turned her around.
"You can't go back there."
"I need to, let me by!" He caught her again.
"You can't go back there! It's on fire!"
"I need to find my parents!" The guard held her by the shoulders and then took his hand to wipe away her tears.
"I know how you feel, but please, stay away from the fiery wings. How would your parents feel if you died in a fire? They'd never forgive themselves!" Amilia stopped trying to break through him and walked away. Amilia saw Unora walking by as her typical self, Nora.
"What is it my dear?" Amilia looked to her.
"What's going on? Why is the castle on fire?"
Unora laughed, "It's about time for the Marked Underground to fall."
