The next day at school she saw that one boy once again. She had still been refusing him, even though she understood what he was going through.
"Please, please!" He begged her. Amilia looked over her shoulder and saw Jasvinder out of the corner of her eye. She stopped, grabbed the boy by his shirt and kissed him on the lips. She stayed like that for a minute or two and then put him down.
"You better take me to a dam good restaurant and a great activity. Then you better dump me sweet." She grabbed his hand and pulled him off of the school grounds. As soon as she was out of sight she let go of his hand, and slapped him across the face. "Come get me tomorrow." She turned to him and then walked the other way with a sway of her hips. She finally came to the door and opened it, putting her bag down like she did everyday. She walked through the kitchen and the living room, stopping at the backdoor. She looked to his office and then opened the sliding glass door, continuing on into the forest. She made her way through the wall and out of the portal, finally ending up in Unora's lair.
"Good evening, darling! Wonderful to see you. I missed you last night."
"Yeah I had a little issue with getting your little trinket."
"Ah, yes, now where is that pocket watch? You have it, yes?" Amilia took it out of her pocket and held it out to Unora. "Oh, wonderful." Unora grabbed it from her and looked it over. "It is so beautiful."
"So why did you want it anyway?"
"To help you, my dear. This is an ancient artifact, of magic origin. It was passed down from master to apprentice, and somehow ended up in Oglm's possession. Now, it is back in its place." She said a magic word and then handed the watch back to Amilia. It changed from its gold color to a purple color.
"What did you do?"
"I released it's magical energy. Call it more of an amulet with a chain on it." And it was just that too. She couldn't open it anymore, it was shut closed. It had new designs on the front of it, making it look like an actual amulet. "As you get used to it it will go back to normal except when you are using it, of course. Now, repeat after me." She turned around and looked at Amilia. "With this amulet"
"With this amulet"
"I shall protect,"
"I shall protect,"
"Defend,"
"Defend,"
"And remain loyal,"
"And remain loyal,"
"To the magic users of the world."
"To the magic users of the world." The amulet glowed and then Amilia was engulfed in purple armor. The amulet seemed to be mounted on her right forearm and it seemed to be in a different, more simplistic design. Amilia moved around a little bit, looking and admiring the armor, it really was a magnificent piece.
"The armor you dawn has many different abilities. You can summon different weapons and can control your magic, without your staff. Eventually you should be able to call different weapons and even change your armor design. Now, I still want you using your staff for spells, even with the armor. As for today, let's begin."
"With what?"
"Well, you have the armor on, yes? Let me teach you how to get your sword." Unora showed her the motion and Amilia copied her. It didn't dawn the sword, but the amulet parts did move like it was supposed to. "You have to think about it. The sword won't come if you don't allow it." Unora grabbed her arm and moved it back and forth, eventually letting go of her. It took a while, but Amilia finally managed to make the sword appear. They practiced on it for the rest of their time together, and then Amilia left as always, with Unora giving her a kiss on her forehead as a goodbye. Amilia walked to the palace, out of her armor, but still carrying the pocket watch with her.
"Hey, is that my Amilia!?" Yxeyhzfkx said, engulfing her in a hug. "Here for the night?"
"Yup, Nora just let me go, so I'm all yours."
"That's nice, because Jkdek is here to speak with you. But later, we must talk about dress designs. We must not forget about the masquerade ball!"
Amilia laughed, "Of course not." Yxeyhzfkx led her to a room where she saw Jkdek and her mother talking. Cristel laughed and then gave Amilia a hug and kiss.
"Done for the night?"
"Yes, I am."
"Wonderful to see you, your majesty." Jkdek said bowing to her.
"Oh, please, Jkdek. You know I don't like that."
He laughed. "Of course, my mistake, sorry." He scratched his head.
"Well," Yxeyhzfkx started with Cristel on his arm. "We shall leave you two to talk." They turned around and left the room.
"Good evening Miss. Amilia, nice to see you in such a good standing of living. So happy and rested."
"Yes, though I have been better."
"Always, we all have been better." He chuckled. "Well, I stopped by to talk with your parents upon their request. I see that you did some convincing and got them started on the mindset of joining the council."
"Starting? Did they not join?"
"I told them to think about it. Seeing their past decision, I wanted to make sure they were completely comfortable with the decision. One of the main reasons they decided to consider was because you wanted to do it. I explained everything to them and the different responsibilities. You represent and make decisions, but ultimately, they make the final decision, especially if they see an issue with the decision you make. They have to meet as well, but not as often as you would."
"But you keep saying join. Have they decided to join?"
"That's what it seems like, but they have not signed anything, it has just been talk as of now."
"Is that why you're here?"
"That's one of the reasons."
"Is the other one bad?"
"No, no, of course not. I actually need to talk to you."
"Oh, well, you have the floor."
"I took into consideration what you had said earlier and put a proposal to council. I just came from a meeting from there, and they approved it. So we are gathering the people who have marks like yours and creating a new mini council composed of your task force. We don't know yet who will lead this force, but at the moment I have had the designer start on a council gown for you."
"That's wonderful!" Amilia said, exploding in excitement. "I can't wait to meet everyone, and who knows, this could expand your alliance."
"I would hope so, but the future is still undetermined."
"Yeah, I suppose you're right."
"The first meeting is tomorrow. Right after you get out of school. You must be there and try your best to be on time. I know it might cut into your time with Nora, but I can send you with a note or walk you there myself."
"Oh, yes there is that fact, I suppose. I'll think about it, what she'd like best, that is."
"Well, wonderful, do let me know, so I can have everything prepared for you."
"Of course." Jkdek smiled and then left the room. Amilia walked over and sat down in the chair. She slipped right down into it, finally resting her feet. She let out a sigh as she put her plan into motion.
