"Would you ever leave me?"

Aleksander's head snapped up to face his wife. Where had that question come from? Nonetheless, he answered truthfully.

"Oh, I wouldn't leave you even if you became a psychopath."

"That's worrying," she knitted her eyebrows. "If that ever happens, please do leave me."

"And who's going to help you get rid of the bodies, then?" He grinned.

She was starting to rub off on him.

"Just for the record, I love you very much too. I wouldn't leave you even if you killed someone," She told him.

"Unless that person is Ivan, Fedyor, David, or Nikolai, then I would kill you," she added on second thought.

"What about Genya, Zoya, Cassi, and my mother?"

"They would make you die a very painful and slow death before you even touch them." She snorted.

Before he could retort, Cassi walked in.

"Uncle Fedyor said he needed help training that boy that's been acting up," she informed her mother.

Amina sighed, pressing a kiss to Cassiopeia's hair before stalking out of the room.

Aleksander immediately pulled out a caramel chocolate bar that he'd been hiding to give to his daughter.

Her face lit up as soon as she saw it and she crawled into his lap, unwrapping the treat and biting into it.

"I love you dad"

"I love you too Cas," he smiled back.

"Thanks for the chocolate bar. And don't worry about that misbehaving boy, I could easily beat him up. Have you seen my right hook? He wouldn't even see it coming."

"I'm pretty sure your mother has said exactly the same thing before," he laughed.

"Great minds think alike."

"Great is pushing it a little bit Cas. More like insane."
