The Master was on the planet Skaro where he was put on trial and being executed by the Daleks. He made a final request, which seemed a bit weird. He wanted the Doctor, his old enemy, to take his remains back to their home planet Gallifrey.

The Doctor decided to fulfill his friend's dying wish. He carried the Master's cremation urn. He placed it an ornate casket, then he took his sonic screwdriver and sealed it shut.

"There, that should do it" said the Seventh Doctor, who, put a cup of tea on a pile of books next to his easy chair and listened to a jazz record playing on his gramophone. The casket moved a little but The Doctor did not pay attention to it. Instead, he enjoyed the jelly baby from a bowl that was placed next to him. Then, the casket opened and the music he listened to was stuck. It constantly repeated the word "time". The Doctor paid no attention to it. Instead he just fixed the record so he could continue to read and listen to the music. After a little while, he noticed the strange eddies in his cup of tea. The record got stuck again, the cup of tea flied up and spilled itself and the casket broke in two. Gunk poured out and something slithered over to the wooden console. There was a short-circuit when the Doctor rushed over and started operating controls. He threw on the brake and the time rotor stopped. He pulled down a monitor and looked at it in confusion.

"Oh no!" The Doctor exclaimed . The monitor read "Critical Timing Malfunction. Instigate Automatic Emergency Landing"
The Doctor walked down the candle-lined passage to the chest of drawers where the casket had been placed, and seed the damage. He came to the conclusion that the Master's remains have disappeared, leaving the casket empty.

After some time, The Tardis had materialised in America. She stood in front of a young man named Lee and saved his life. The gangsters, after seeing that a blue box appeared out of nowhere decided to shoot at it. The door opened after the materialisation was completed and the Doctor came out. The gangsters thought that he knew and came to save Lee. As a result, they decided to shoot him. Then a car approached them and without doing anything else, they just got inside.

"What was that thing?" one of the gangsters said before driving off. Lee heard sirens wailing and came out from behind the Tardis. He checked on his dead friends, then the wounded Doctor.

"Timing malfunction" the Doctor said, after he got a hold on Lee. He seemed greatly concerned about it but Lee was not as concerned as he was as he paid no mind to it.

"I'll get you an ambulance." He said instead as the gunk oozed out of the Tardis lock. Doctor, sounding tired and stressed pointed out to the Tardis lock and sayid "Stop it! Stop it!" However, as Lee looked at the lock, he saw nothing and turned to the Doctor with confusion:

"What?" He questioned but the Doctor couldn't provide any further answer because he was hurt badly.

"Here it comes. Hold in there, old guy. Chang Lee'll help you." He said after spotting the ambulance that was approaching them.

Then Lee went up the alley, stepping on the edge of a strange puddle, which seemed to followed  him.
"Hey, over here!" He said, gaining the attention of the ambulance driver. They came quickly and took the Doctor and Lee to the hospital.
