"Well, I'm glad you survived, Celestia." Charley said as the three of them sat in the kitchen.
"Me too, Charley." Celestia said, fiddling with her fingers. The entire time they were in the kitchen, The Doctor didn't open his mouth to say even a single word. That made her feel nervous. Did he get angry with her about something? She needed a moment alone with him to ask him what's going on. Fortunately, Charley said she was going to go check her room after a while and left the kitchen. The Doctor was still silent even when Charley was gone. She couldn't hold back the itching question and said:
"Doctor? Are you alright?"
"Yes, why shouldn't I be?" He asked, not looking at her.
"Don't lie to me, you know it doesn't work on me."
The Doctor looked at her for a moment, thinking whether he should say this or not. Then he gave up and said:
"I- I thought you died, Celestia. I was horrified. I don't know what would I do if something were to happen to you." He said, going back to that moment where she fell and he thought she couldn't survive. There was a clear stress in his voice.
"I know, I know." Celestia said as she got up from her chair, sitting next to him and hugging him. She hid her head in his neck. The Doctor did the same, trying to reassure himself that she was alive and well. "For a second there I thought I had died too. It wasn't the best feeling at all." She joked, trying to lighten the mood as she hugged him tighter than before.
"Obviously." He said, not in the mood for joking.
"Hey." She said as she removed her head from his neck. She wrapped her hands around his neck instead. "I'm fine, I'm alright. I made a silly mistake of not holding on as tight as I should. Plus, I was feeling drained because of being powerless. Now that I got my powers back, I won't do it again, I promise." She said. The Doctor looked at her, examining her face. He looked like he was a bit relaxed. He wrapped his hands around her waist, pulling her closer to him.
"I have to tell you something." The Doctor said, looking straight into her eyes.
"Is everything alright?" Celestia asked worriedly.
"Yes." The Doctor said immediately. "It's just." He couldn't finish his own sentence.
"It's just what?" Celestia frowned.
"Celestia, I-"
"Hey, you guys." Charley said, entering the room suddenly. "This ship is really amazing. Thank you both so much for letting me come with you." She said, happily.
"It is The Doctor you should be thanking, Charley." Celestia laughed. "This is his ship after all. I just made a suggestion."
"Our" He corrected her. Then he turned to Charley. "It's our pleasure. Now, did you like your room? We could make some changes if you want."
"No, the room is perfect the way it is."
"Well, you look tired Charley. Why don't you go to sleep? We can go on an adventure when you wake up." The Doctor suggested. Charley looked at the pair for a second before deciding.
"Okay fine." She conceded. "Good night, Doctor. Good night, Celestia." She said as she exited the kitchen.
She jumped in when she heard the Doctor sounding like he was about to confess his feelings for the Time Lady. She couldn't help but feeling jealous of Celestia. She was beautiful, clever, and apparently had her own powers which make her a lot stronger than most people. But more importantly, the thing that was bothering her the most was the fact that The Doctor's attention seemed to be always on Celestia. He either held her hand or pulled her closer to him or always comforted her when she looks like she needs it. Celestia said earlier that The Doctor wasn't her boyfriend but she thought that it was a lie. Even if she didn't see it, he had feelings for her. Feelings that you could have only towards the person you loved romantically. Celestia wasn't at all different than him. But they had no idea that they both shared the same feelings. She was glad for this because she thought she could get The Doctor's attention on herself if she tried. She didn't know how to do it yet. She kept thinking about all possible scenarios as she fell asleep.
