"Oh my God!" The soldier exclaims.

"Right, everybody out." The Doctor says, taking Celestia's hand again and they leave the room. Shots continue to fire. "Chaney, through the door, come on." He says.

"Okay. I made mistake. Now." Stepashin says as he closes the door, staying with the aliens.

"We can't just leave them in there." Celestia says.

"Watch me. Where's the Professor?" Chaney asks.

"Still inside, I'm afraid. You've got to get him out." The Doctor says.

"Your loyalty is touching, but a little misplaced. In case you haven't noticed, there's a bunch of giant fruitbats in there making short work of the Fuhrer's finest." Devine says.

"We have to try." Celestia insists.

"You forget." Devine says as he powers up the gun. "I still have this little baby."

"I'm going back for him." The Doctor says, letting go of Celestia's hand.

"Me too." Celestia follows him.

"No." The Doctor says.

"Yes." She looks at him pointedly, making him sigh. Then he opens the door.

"Watch it." Chaney warns them.

"Professor." Both Time Lords call for him.

"Are you two crazy?" Devine asks them.

"Leave me." Stepashin says.

"Get a gun and shoot them, Prof. Come on!" Chaney insists.

"I cannot. They are magnificent. Magnificent." Stepashin says. Then they hear his screams and Devine closes the door.

"Enough! I won't warn you a second time." He tells them.

"What now, Mr Devine? You've come away rather empty-handed, haven't you?" The Doctor says as he sighs.

"Shut up, I'm thinking." Devine says. "Okay dokey, get moving, the three of you." He orders them after a while and starts walking.

"What, what are those things, Doctor, Celestia?" Chaney asks them as they start walking too. The Doctor holds Celestia's hand, not wanting her to be out of his sight even for a second.

"I haven't the foggiest. Mammalian, certainly, as our friend here put it so colourfully, they're like some form of giant bat. That sound." The Doctor says.

"But they're so savage. How could creatures like that?" Chaney asks again.

"Yes, that had occurred to me too. They do act a little brusquely for supposedly intelligent creatures." Devine says.

"Well, they're young, aren't they? You know what young carnivorous alien mammal-like monsters are like. Always getting into scrapes." The Doctor explains.

"And you think someone's coming to find them?" Chaney says.

"I do, and I have a nasty feeling that the grown-ups are even worse." The Doctor says.

"Let's hope for the best." Celestia mutters.

They start to run because they hear screeching from the creatures in the background.

"They're getting closer. Which way?" The Doctor asks.

"Er - down here." Chaney says. Then the laser gun is fired and there is explosion.

"What now?" Celestia  asks. Suddenly they hear Charley's voice.

"Charley!" The Doctor exclaims.
