"We've arrived." The Doctor says. His fingers are intertwined with Celestia's.
"Hello?" Charley says.
"We've arrived. Charley, are you all right?" Celestia questions.
"Yes, I think so. Doctor, Celestia, look!" Charley points out.
"Oh my word." The Doctor says.
"Oh boy where did we find ourselves this time?" Celestia sighs. They walk over to the lady whose head is inside the sink that's full of water.
"That's the maid. That's Edith." Charley says.
"Give me a hand with her. Keep her head out of the water." The Doctor tells Charley, letting go of Celestia.
"But I was only speaking to her a moment ago." Charley remarks. Suddenly the door opens. Others walking in.
"What's happening in here?" The man questions.
"There was a scream." The woman says.
"It's your scullery maid. We found her drowning in her own sink." Celestia explains.
"Oh no!" The young woman exclaims.
"Mary, it's all right." The man says, consoling her.
"Oh my goodness, that such a thing could happen in my kitchens." The other woman says.
"Give me a hand with her, someone, quickly!" The Doctor orders.
"Yes, of course. Frederick, assist the gentleman in removing Edith from the washbasin." The man orders.
"Yes, Mr Shaughnessy." Frederick says as he moves over to help him. They pull her out of the water and lay her on the ground.
"Let me assure you, sir, if Edith has inconvenienced you in any way, I will have her formally reprimanded." Shaughnessy says.
"He's good at that, sir, is Mr Shaughnessy. He's a veritable tyrant with his formal reprimands." The woman says.
"Give me room, can't you, I'm trying to save her life!" The Doctor shouts as he gives Edith the kiss of life.
"Let me help you sweetheart." Celestia says as she bends down. She uses her magic to try to bring her back but it seems fruitless. She seems to be beyond her help. She sighs.
"Well?" Charley asks quietly.
"I'm sorry. I'm afraid she's dead." The Doctor says.
"I failed to save someone's life again." Celestia mutters quietly. The Doctor hears it and pulls her to his chest. She hides her face in his chest as she cries silently.
"It's not your fault." The Doctor tells her telepathically.
"Oh no." Charley says, sadly.
"I don't understand it." The Doctor says as he strokes Celestia's hair. "Her lungs are full of water. There couldn't be that much water in the sink in the first place. I should have been able to save her."
"It's not your fault." Celestia whispers.
"This is most unfortunate. To lose a scullery maid on Christmas Eve." Shaughnessy says.
"But Edith never was very good at timing, was she?" Mary questions.
"Listen. I know how this must look. Coming in to find three strangers over a dead body." The Doctor says, looking at them as he still strokes the Time Lady's hair.
"But we really had nothing to do with it." Charley says.
"Well, of course you had nothing to do with it." Shaughnessy says.
