A Little Talk

Celestia was in her room, unable to sleep. She silently cursed the men who knocked her up, making her sleep when she wasn't supposed to. Deciding that she wasn't gonna be able to sleep tonight, she got up to try to find The Doctor, knowing that he didn't go to sleep. The first place she went to check was the library of course. He always went there when he couldn't find anything to do.

"Mind if I join you?" Celestia said, after spotting The Doctor.

"Of course not." The Doctor said. "Unable to sleep?" He asked after she settled down right next to him.

"Yes. So I thought I would come by and get you distracted from the book you're reading." Celestia said, grinning as she put her head in his shoulder.

"Well, you managed to do that so congratulations." The Doctor laughed as he started playing with her hair.

"Doctor?" Celestia asked. "Do you think someday we can actually go somewhere that's safe, just the two of us?"

"I don't see why not." The Doctor said. "We can go anywhere we want you know."

"Yes, but wherever we go, there's always danger. We're inseparable."

"Well, there is that." The Doctor said, laughing. "Celestia, I want to talk to you about something."

"Okay." Celestia said as she removed her head from his shoulder to look directly into his eyes. "What do you wanna talk about?"

"About you and Charley." The Doctor said, making her frown.

"What about us?"

"I noticed how she only addresses to me and how you ignore her. Why don't you tell me what happened?" The Doctor said, taking her hands and looking ready to just get up and send Charley to R101 again.

"Well." Celestia sighed. "It's not different than what happened with your previous companions, Doctor."

"What happened with my companions?" He asked, confused. He had no idea that she had trouble with them. Why didn't she just tell him?

"Long story short, most of them got jealous of me, of how you would check up on me first or how you wouldn't let me out of your sight, stuff like that. They would always come to me to talk about it and I would always assure them that you care about them as well." Celestia confessed.

"So is that what happened with Charley?" The Doctor questioned further.

"More or less."

"What do you mean? Please tell me Celestia, I need to know." The Doctor insisted.

"Well." She dragged out the word. "Charley said that I was too close to you." She said, deciding that even if she didn't say anything, The Doctor would find out anyway.

"Isn't it normal?" The Doctor frowned. "We grew up together and were always close to each other."

"Yes. But she thinks it's wrong." Celestia said.

"I see." The Doctor said. "What did you say to that, then?"

"I said what I told you when were with Deeva. That I don't like talking about stuff like this." Celestia said.

"Do you want me to send her back to R101?" The Doctor asked.

"No, Doctor." Celestia laughed. "It's quite normal for someone like Charley to start having feelings for you."

"Do you think she has feelings for me?" The Doctor frowned.

"Yes, Doctor." Celestia rolled her eyes at him. He could be so blind from time to time. "Most of your companions did."

"How do you know?" The Doctor asked.

"Some of them told me about it and as for the others, it was quite obvious." Celestia said.

"Why didn't you tell me about this earlier?" The Doctor asked, sounding genuinely curious.

"Because I didn't want you to think about this stuff as well. You already think way too much and me telling you this wouldn't help at all. Plus I was thinking about it over and over and got worried about how close I am to you. I even tried to put a distance between us but as soon as I saw you, I forgot all about it."

"Celestia." The Doctor said as he took her face in his hands. "Please do not become distant from me just because someone told you to. I love how close we are. Don't take it from me."

"Oh Doctor." Celestia sighed as she wrapped her hands around his neck and he wrapped his hands around her waist. "I would never do that. You're the only person in the universe, beside The Protector, who always understands me in the way others can't. I'm sorry for thinking about being away from you even for a second."

"Don't let anyone get inside your head, please." The Doctor said. "If she or any other companions say something like this again, don't hide it from me and just say it." He said, seriously. "I don't want us to hide things from each other."

"You're right." Celestia sighed. "I'm sorry. I won't do something like that again." She said, honestly as she hid her face in his chest, closing her eyes. The Doctor started playing with her hair.

"No need to be sorry for." The Doctor said.

"Why do you think Lavish called me Harbinger of Chaos?" Celestia asked suddenly.

"I have no idea." The Doctor answered. "I know you would never hurt someone so it's possible that she was lying."

"Maybe I do when I'm not around you. How would you know?" Celestia asked him.

"I guess I trust you enough to know that you wouldn't do something like that." The Doctor answered, honestly.

"Thank you." Celestia hugged him tightly, not removing her head from his chest. "It means a lot."

"I'm just saying the truth but you're very welcome." The Doctor said as he hugged back. "I know you will probably overthink what Lavish said but I know you. Even if you hurt people, it would be because you had good reasons."

"I guess you're right." Celestia said. "I don't like hurting anybody."

"I already know you." The Doctor confirmed. "You don't need to convince me."

"Sorry, sorry." Celestia giggled. "Would you like some tea?"

"I wouldn't say no." The Doctor laughed.

"Then I better head to the kitchen. I didn't drink enough coffee today. I'm basically craving."
