"It's a pity we can't just get out of here in the Tardis. If only we could get ROSM to release us from these containment field things." Charley says.

"If we could achieve that, I think Celestia and I'd be far more interested in finding out exactly why the Cimmerians would want to make their sun disappear." The Doctor says.

"Definitely." Celestia agrees.

"You mean you'd really like to get us into trouble." Charley says.

"I do take on board your desire to get us out of immediate danger." The Doctor says.

"I'm so pleased." Charley says, rolling her eyes.

"ROSM. ROSM, listen to me. Hello?" The Doctor tries to get his attention.

"Hello?" Celestia tries.

"I am listening." Rosm says.

"Can you estimate how long it will take for alien particles to critically damage you?" The Doctor asks.

"I am not sure." Rosm says.

"Well, can't you just guess or something?" Charley asks.

"Guessing is not useful." Rosm says.

"No, it wouldn't be." Charley says.

"His point is that you are in immediate danger. Do you acknowledge that?" Celestia asks.

"Only as a percentage probability of reality." Rosm says.

"Well then, will you take some more advice?" The Doctor asks.

"If you wouldn't mind." Charley says.

"Charley, shh." Celestia whispers to her.

"I will consider it." Rosm says.

"Just now you shut down the main airlock and activated your defences. That slowed down the flow of invading alien particles, didn't it? You remember that." The Doctor says. The Rosm's voice keeps speeding up and slowing down.

"Only as a percentage probability of reality." Rosm says.

"All right, all right. But if you remember, in this picture of reality as a percentage probability, that was good advice, wasn't it?" The Doctor asks.

"It would seem so." Rosm says.

"And the degredation of your systems has slowed down?" Celestia questions.

"It would seem so." Rosm says.

"Good. Good. The only conclusion you can come to is that we're giving you good advice, yes?" The Doctor asks.

"Let me gueess." Charley says.

"It would seem so." Rosm says.

"So now I'm advising you to disengage from the Cimmeria Four Base airlock and blast off to a safe distance." The Doctor says.

"How would you define a safe distance?" Rosm says.

"That's up to you." The Doctor says.

"Do you think he'll do it?" Charley asks in whisper.

"I don't know. Just cross your fingers." The Doctor whispers back.

"I think he will." Celestia whispers too.

"Initiating blast-off sequence." Rosm says as the engines start.

"Yes!" The Time Lords exclaim at the same time.

"Oh, thank goodness for that." Charley sighs in relief.

"And there you were, Charley Pollard, doubting us." The Doctor says.
