Chapter 25

Billie: He was standing in front of me and crying. I watched his lips move and his body trembling with pain and anger, but I didn't say anything ... I was kinda frozen when Tre mentioned Adie. My heart stopped when I heard what Mike & Brian were up to. "Billie, answer !!" Tre shouted. "No... no," I stammered. "That's wrong, no. Not Adie..." Tre: "Billie is everything alright?" I asked worried. He stood there, pale as a ghost and began to sweat. "Billie?" He didn't answer. He just stammered over and over that they should leave Adie alone. I tried to calm him down, but it didn't help, he seemed to be having a panic attack.

"Billie, please calm down..." before I could say anything, he ran to his car. "Where are you going?" I called after him. He mumbled to himself that he had to stop Mike & Brian from destroying Adie's life. "Billie, please don't leave me alone. Why don't you see how much you hurt me?" I sobbed. And again it was Adie... she always comes first. He didn't care that I cried, not a bit. The only thing he worries about is her. "If you leave now, you will choose her against me. You cannot have both." I swore sadly after him. He didn't even turn around, got into his car and drove away. That's it, I'll never speak to him again. I deserve someone who treats me with respect and doesn't leave me alone when I cry. That was the point where the bitter insight came... he will never love me the way he loves her... I'll always be his second choice... She will always be his No.1 ...

Billie: My hands were shaking like crazy, but I tried to hold out with all my strength and clung to the steering wheel. *Look at the street* I said to myself. I was scared ... and angry. As I made my way to the nearest airport, I tried to collect my thoughts. They have gone too far... friendship or not. Mike & Brian know exactly that Adie is my tough point. I hurried because I didn't know where they were. On the way I kept trying to call Mike & Brian, but both had their phones turned off. When I arrived at the airport, I booked the first direct flight to Minnesota. My heart was shaking... it was a mixture of fear and happiness... both for the same reasons. I would see my Adie again...
