*17th June 2008* Billie: I got up early in the morning to get the garden ready. Today was a very special day... our little princess turned 1 year old. For 35 years I was mostly sad or angry. I felt bad all the time, except when I was with Adie... But I had been overjoyed for 1 year. Because this little angel came into our world. Her smile healed every pain... I loved every second with my little family. Tre & Mike & Jason & Kevin & Brian came early and helped me decorate everything. Nora, Janna, Britt, Sara & Adie were all standing in the kitchen baking and cooking lots of goodies... A big surprise, grandma Charlie did fly to America to visit us on this special day. Bella's grandparents Edward & Maria and her niece Abigail, everyone was there to celebrate with us. Adie & I decided to design everything in purple. Just like her mother, Bella loved the color purple and the scent of lavender. It was still early, and Louis & Zola were tired. But both wanted to be there and help us when we will wake Bella up and surprise her. Mike & Britt were now Zola's adoptive parents. Bella, Louis & Zola just made our lives better. *Were they the next green day trio?* I thought laughing to myself... After everything was set up and baked, Adie & I sneaked into Bella's room. "Good morning, my angel," said Adie lovingly and took her in her arms. "I wish you all the best for your 1st birthday, baby girl. I love you!!" said Adie. I gave Bella a kiss on the cheek, "All the best, my angel!!" Bella yawns tiredly as we brought her down. I held her in my arms as we went to the garden where everyone started to sing Happy Birthday. The whole garden was colorfully decorated, there were cakes, cupcakes and delicious food. The ladies had prepared finger food for hours and searched for recipes suitable for children. Bella squealed happily as everyone was singing and held her little hands up. Adie lit the candle on her cake. She blew it out with a strong breath. "Woooah," said Charlie happily, taking her in her arms. We helped Bella unwrap her presents. Later, after dinner, the children and we played on the big bouncy castle and in the ball pit we set up for them. It was a wonderful 1st birthday...
