Britt: "I don't want to talk about him," I replied, slightly annoyed. *What is he thinking? I don't know him at all.* Logan quickly realized that it was too personal for me "Sorry, I didn't mean to rush you... of course you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.I just noticed that it makes you sad.It will help you to let it all out and not hide your emotions," Logan replied. "Everything's fine, you're right. It's, it's just too fresh..." "How about having a coffee after the shift? Just as friends.I would like to get to know you better," he asked calmly. I couldn't tell what it was. The charming manner or the politeness with how much respect he treated me. I felt safe. I made it unmistakably clear that I don't want a date. When he did let me know that he had no problem with it, I agreed. After work we sat at an empty table and Logan made us some coffee in the kitchen. "Can you lock up later?" asked our colleague and tossed me the keys. With a quick move, I caught it and nodded to her.

"Milk & Sugar?" he asked when he came back with a little table. "Please, pure black." "Perfect!!" he replied with a grin. "There is nothing better than pure coffee taste." He took a long swig, and I quickly saw on his bitter face that it was a lie. "Well, somebody lied," I grinned mockingly. "Okay, okay... we both seem like terrible liars. Let's start a honest talk." We both grew up in California. He had a little sister who had Down syndrome. He said that his mother raised him and his sister alone as their father left them alone after the diagnosis. "It wasn't always easy. But my mum was our rock. You could always rely on her. When she died 2 years ago, it was a really hard time for Emily." It hurt my soul to hear how much pain he had already suffered. And what do I do? Sitting here crying about a man. I felt terrible. "I'm sorry to hear that, Logan. I'm glad Emily has you, you must be a wonderful big brother." "She is the most important person in my life. It hurts to see how some people treat her. I'm actually a friendly man, but if someone talks bad about my little sister, I lose my control. Maybe you will get to know her someday, she is an angel. You would love her..."
